Are Jamaican men boring to date?

Yes there are some really nice looking men and certain accents do make my heart flutter:



Many can dance really well and that is always a plus but all too often it's:

- reluctance to eat out as "you nevah know wha dem put in de food"
- as we have seen on here unwillingness to celebrate holidays
- old fashioned ideas about the roles of men and women in child rearing and running a household
- little interest in travelling
- labelling things like afternoon tea or polo as Babylonian
- pressure to drop baggy
- then there is the lounging about in marina business
- and if dem drop h's mi gawn
- few will accompany you to the ballet or symphony .....unless dem a chi-chi man
- slow dancing when holding a bottle of beer mek mi want to - dance or drink beer not both

Now I am not saying ALL so don't get defensive men but ....it doesn't seem like a whole heck of a lot of fun to me.

I don't know about many Jamaican men or even many men. I only know the few wonderful men who have been in my life so far.

After my husband died, I dated a wonderful Jamaican man who made me laugh, accompanied me to the symphony, jazz clubs, sat in back yard and chew chicken bone, walked country roads, knew a lot about all kinds of music, kind and gentle, and could whistle through a grass leaf to clean out an entire pond of migrating waterfowl.

Is how come Portland people always so nice.

my jamaican man is nothing like wat u say up there. not that we dont have issues. just saying. that list u have up deh so no real at all. dahjah is not the be all and end all of jamaican men. ok maybe i should replace dahjah with ja.com male posters?

Come to think of it ... almost all the Jamaican men I know including brother, relatives, friends, friends' husbands, ja.com men I've met, are not like how Tropicana describe. At all.

Is what kind of men Tropicana expose herself to?

Now here are some things I love about the Jamaican men I know

1. Dem very clean and always smell nice
2. Dem cyar always clean
3. Dem very sexy and playful
4. Dem tek good care of yuh when yuh sick
5. Dem love cook
6. Dem protective of dem woman
7. Dem love dem children
8. Dem very impatient wid choopid people
9. .... soon come back wid more

Not lately as I don't really go to parties anymore but I used to see dem all de while in Montreal, Toronto and Jamaica and it was a huge turn-off.
