It depends on the man because some men are crazy. My co-worker had a guy stalking her because she accepted money from him and he took that as they were in a relationship. She would walk to the store down the street and he would call her saying "i see you" so she dismissed him becuase she could see he was crazy so the guy started calling her leaving crazy messages (i heard them) about he wanted his money back since she didnt want to be with him and all that. He was threatening her and everything in the voicemails he left. she had to call the police she was so scared.
i personally dont accept money from men i guess because i am stubborn and dont want them to feel like they have any power or control over me. i am VERY independent and let them ALL know that i dont need nothing from them.

Haven't read the other responses yet...If you're dating it's OK to accept money, expensive gifts. If you're not, then you shouldn't. It can cause resentment later.
