When I lived in Ja. many years ago, the premium on looks was at an all time high.
Guys had to be excruciatingly handsome to 'pass' and girls had to be 'drop-dead gorgeous' to be given even the time of day.
Once I explored other territories, I found out that while good looks are appreciated, there are many people who have learnt how to develop their many assets rather than just focus on looks alone.
It's been such a lovely experience.
In response to your question, I'd connect with the guy on his values and go from there. -

but, mark you, the late Sir Lynden Pndling who led the Bahamas into Independence (his father was a Jamaican policeman), was short, dark with cross eyes, but his wife was a tall beauty (yeah fair skinned with long hair), she looked beyond his looks, and he carried her to the top..Comment

I have dated guys that while not HUGLY - some would say nat de moas attractive... but I tend to be drawn to men who can captivate my mind and make me laugh - as long as they have good hygiene and carry themselves well - other physical things tend to become trivial.Comment
