Friend done know your taste and an idea of what you would like (hence the reason fi boyfriend/girlfriend carry him/her)

Proposal night come and the ring you get is nothing like what you want not your taste, nothing.

yeah but considering dat the ring is what you will be wearing for a long time, wouldn't you want something dat you are comfortable with? Wouldn't the proposal mean more to you for the fact that he/she was THINKING ABOUT YOU when he/she brought it?

All the ring is going to signify is that you are married. How many people have outstanding rings and the marriage in a shambles? Affordability might be a factor to consider too.

He was thinking about you when he bought it - that's why he brought along your friend to help pick it out.

Okay, what I'm trying to say:

the purpose of taking the friend was to give him an idea with what you like (it he didn't want to know he wouldn't have taken the friend right?) so basically he brought that ring on the notion of the friend telling him "hey, I know her this is her taste").

I would have feel better if it came from him alone even if its not the one I want because he picked it out himself. But knowing that the friend had a sey in it......?
