Whats the point in getting married if you cant communicate on "that" level? At that point you should be able to say anything to each other without being judged by the other person. A you haffi go live with the ring whe you no like, so speak up. Nothing beats a trial but a failure.

Many a man who's inlove will find their confidence falter at the moment of popping the question and presenting the ring.

Because his confidence fails him then, we shouldn't equate it with his love not being strong enough... and that's the sense I'm getting from your response...

While I would rather he chose my ring on his own, <u>I would understand</u> if im get a attack a nerves an decide say im need de help of my best friend...

I would likely be more concerned (sic) if, after twenty-five years of us being married (with me sporting the ring my friend helped choose) that he decided that he still needs her help in buying me a ring for our silver anniversary...

One would hope a man's confidence would be with him when choosing an engagement ring. If he goes to a reputable jewelry store and explain his mission, many a jeweler will be able to guide him if he wishes to suprise her with a ring.

That is how I would feel. The underlying issue is if my man knows ME well enough to the point of wanting to spend the rest of his life with ME, then HE will know better than to ask my FRIEND to help him choose a ring. MrKia took the time to know ME therefore knew better than asking my FRIEND to choose the ring. He chose well and it is a beautiful simple ring I wear to this day.

Some man nuh good pon di shopping at all. Yuh could send him out fi go buy one tube a toothpaste and him come back wid dental creme, much less picking a ring. And is not for lack of trying, somepeople just don't have the knack of buying or picking a gift for someone.

If him baf when it come to dat, a just so it go....if yuh love him and him love you, yuh wi just haffi understand and work through it.
