i seem to recall reading a profile in the New Yorker (or was it Vanity Fair) donkey's years ago that implied she was a Jamaican beauty queen of some sort.

it's interesting to note that Edgar's father was against the marriage because of their &quot;differences in backgrounds&quot;, and said Sherry's offer to convert to Judaism was &quot;not the point&quot;.
