Last week when I was in Ja, my friend looked at my thumb ring and informed me that wearing a thumb ring indicates that you are a lesbian? Anyone ever heard of this craziness?

I heard that here in Atlanta. I saw a co-worker with one and she was surprised when I told her. It may have started off with that meaning but straight people have begun to wear them so the meaning evidently got lost.

Like years ago they used to say you know a man is gay if he wear his earring in the left ear. And that was how you distinguished them from straight men who wore earrings. Now they wear them in both ears and who can tell.
