The gay friends that I have wear thumb rings..

I never heard of that before but it doesn't surprise me..the young people today have alot of hidden things to declare their sexual orientation..or what they will do or will not do.

Oh do behave yourself,...dont go casting aspirations on my sexuality because I believe in equality regardless of people`s sexual preference,...I can assure you sir,..I am 100 percent heterosexual,not that I have to explain myself,or care what faceless people on a bulletin board thinks.......however,I will say to any man on this bulletin board who questions my sexuality....if you really believe that I am batting for the other team then lend me your wife/girlfriend for one night only,..let her decide.

You are absolutely right! My Bible Study Teacher has a book that talks about all the signs and symbols that kids have to identify with what acts they will do. I see a lot of teens with different colored bands on their wrists. I always thought they were Church bands. Like WWJD, et al. His book shows how the different colors represent who will do what sex act, who is gay, who likes threesomes, etc. It's sad. I'm sure their parents do not know the meaning of these bands.

That`s odd,...my 12 year old wears coloured arm bands to support anti-racism,many children and young people here in the Uk wears those bands in support of a charity,or simply as an awareness against bullying in schools or other anti-social behaviours.......it`s never been suggested that there is anything sexual about these bands,..but maybe children in the US are more sexually active than those in the UK and are simply wearing these bands for sexual purpose rather than what they were ... As a humanist I believe in everyone`s right to exist,and I do support and is in favour of a number of causes,I was an active supporter of anti-fox hunting..(hope this doesnt mean I am a closet fox)...I also believe in equality for everyone regardless of race,colour...or sexual orientation,and although I dont actively campaign for gay rights,I believe in their right to do as they please with their bodies as long as it`s done in private,and doesnt frighten the horses or children. earring on right ear = gay top or bottom

hanky hanging out of left pocket = gay bottom or top

then the straight guys started wearing hankies:

thumb ring = gay

then straight people started wearing thumb rings.


the gay handbook has received many re-writes over the years and that doesn't include the colour coding of the hanky, wearing tankinis or applying hair gel.

Lol....I notice the latest fashion here with blokes is to wear open toed sandals and ripped jeans,..that used to be sooo gay....now ripped jeans are all the rave here.

And as for moustaches......a massive signature for some gays,..I dont see many noustache wearing men avoiding it simply because gays sport it too.

Well of course some teens are taking what one thing is intended for and creating their own special "language" with it. I was clueless..it was my mother who is a school counselor who hipped me to it as well as other teenagers I hang out with on occasion..

I think we need to be very careful we dont start lumping kids with the kind of sexual attitudes and behaviours that we adults are guilty of,or were guilty of at some point.

My 12 year old daughter wear her bands in support of ant-racism,..and I am absolutely 100 %certain there is nothing underhand or sexual about her motives.

How could anyone look AT THESE BANDS say they are anything except what they are intended for.....*I* trust my little girl,..maybe others dont trust *their* kids,....but I am pretty certain that if she is wearing an anti-racism wristband then that is precisely the reason she is wearing it.

*I* dont need to get hip with my kids language,...in our house bread means bread.
