I actually prefer seeing curly hair locks that straight hair locks. for some reason it looks neater to me.
is there anyone here that went ahead and locked their hair while the ends still had perm?

you can't start locing hair that still has perm on the end. It wouldn't look right. The ends of your hair would just be straight. You would have to cut it off....

To start locing you would need an inch or more of new growth. The other option is to use yarn in your hair to start the locs.

he used to do my hair back in the day when it was straight - bwoy was i surprised my first visit to Terhas to see him

i did opt for some color today but requested a rinse - it helped some - not as much as i would have liked - but dark hair on old women isn't cool - although subtle - it does look better

wasn't trying to cover the grey just the red

terhas wasn't very happy with me 'cause i had several knots in my hair - she unknotted them - and asked me what was i thinking - i told her i was tightening them up - every time she came to a knot she would make a disgruntled sound - i won't be doing that again [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

and yes emperor dah jah - i have had dreads for 12 years and i do cut them - i'm a dread, not a rasta - i like to wear them out and the longer they get the more inclined i am to just wear them pulled back - plus these suckers get hot and heavy
