Hair steamers..the ultimate

solution for hair breakage..i hope so..

i'm plannining to purchase one..the Pro 1037A seems to be the most popular one but is sold out everywhere until the end of jan..


Pibbs seems to be the high end brand but may be better suited for salon..not sure if difference in performance is enough to the justify the price for in home use
any one currently use one at home?

this is more like a hooded dryer, to do deep conditioning i think.

i dont have one Jaded, read about them on Gen's board though

yeah..they came up in my search...

if this steaming thing works..me have 2 housekeepers in ja to thank..dem ask me &quot; why me hair a pick out&quot; and proceeded to give me advise and on how to properly deep condition..

basically you add water to a tank on the machine..put conditioner on your hair and sit under the steamer for 30 minutes and it softens and moisturises your hair..i'm fighting an excessive breakage condition..so you may not need summen like dis if your hair is in good condition

Oh Ok tanks - so if you make an investment like that - how often would u use it? I mean no matter how healthy ur hair is - I guess it cna benefit form a good deep conditioner every now again - but is it worth the investment for once a month use?

you say ur hair has some damage so how often would u use it?

i'd use it at <span style="font-style: italic">least</span> once a week..30 mins..that's how much time I've started spending deep conditioning the old fashioned way...plastic cap and hot towel(and I think i'm seeing an improvement)..i

ideally I should probably start out 2x a week...I need all the moisture I can get..

believe me if your hair was in as bad a condition as mine you'd happily invest the time..i can see the poor likkle strands trying to grow..then its shed..shed.shed

how di steam work in her case wid di bag on her head wouldn't she only just be getting di benefit of the heat like if she was using an old school hair dryer wid her conditioner and steamm cap?

yes..dem seh the steam penetrates better w/o the bag..guess she neva get the memo..

someone suggested a hair net to hold the hair in place..that makes sense..
