Mi mainly love dem for their blowing skills - when mi set mi hair dere mi haffe instruct dem how mi want it an mi carry mi lottabody fe put in deh - den mi haffe tell dem fe blow out de roots....

Mostly when I go there is for straight blow and flat iron.

Bizi, you're right. I could have said something about hey now what you doing. I suppose I was just trying to wait and see what happened.

Jazz, I heard about the blowdrying skils but didn't get none. Well, I think I am lying. After the rollers, after the wrap, I do believe there was even some blowdrying. In short, I did see smoke/;steam or something coming from my hair.

I am willing to try them again just not at the same salon. I think I picked out a dud. I like for hair to look like hair. I'm not up for too much of a commotion style.

di one mi guh have on tv lawd di tings we haffi guh choo fi beauty

tulip - when yuh guh hairdresser yuh mout nuffi jine church enuh tell dem what yuh want yes try another place and see what happens . they use the big rollers cause that will give you more body when they blow and/or dry wrap. they usually dont do wet wrap since that takes longer and gives very little body.

I went to a Dominican salon once and they blow out the hair so straight that not even Florida humidity could put any little life back into it. Not to mention, if homegirl had put the rollers in a bit tighter, there would have been no need to blow dry the roots at all.

thats the way I do mine!

i tell them wrap it, then I go back for another 20mins....u dont end up burning your hair with the blow dryer as much, and because its wrapped, it gets the curls out, and u dont loose the body.....its so much smoother~

Mi go back unda de dryer again if mi a go out dat same night. but if mi a stay in de house...mi nuuh go back unda de dryer the less I have to be under there, the better

So it really sounds like my stylist (if not the whole salon itself) was just no good for me. Ok, based on the feedback in here, I will try again, but it will still have to be a different salon. I will ask around about some good ones in my area.
