i know right. they had some cute ones on that last site i posted but the colors....i was like why they had to mess it up and make it look Hawaiian and all brite colored and what not

Didn't like that gown, Bizi. But I checked out Tadashi Shoji and I just fell in love with this I think this would work for me. With some fabulous earrings and heels

hehe - cause they're prom dresses made for teenagers tastes..... halfway between princess disney and grown, they don't want no black or dark blue for them prom!

But it is simple enough to dress up with knock out shoes and custom designed drop earrings And I can dance in it and pose with dignitaries in it and not outshine them

OK Peasie, now look. I don't know you or them, but I do know a bit about balls and black tie events. Most of the women will have been poked, prodded, tweezed, wrapped, snatched, and starved for a good week leading up to the event. Some will have stylists dressing them. I think it's safe to say that you don't have to dress down for fear of outshining a dignitary.

Nothing is wrong with the dress you posted, but you are not going to a tea at church. You need to think more along the lines of red carpet event. I agree that simple with great accessories can often look better, but in this case I'd get a fabulous dress and keep the accessories simple.

Then again, I detest sequins, beads, lace, and anything complicated where I can't get up and dance. I do want to enjoy myself and not be stuck in a dress
