and I told my stylist I didn't wannt a cut that took work...

so i got short bob

chopped up at the back, shaved at the nape and angled at the front

when i wash it, i wrap and go under dryer...after that, moisturize, curl the back, wrap again and then shake n go from then...

since it wash weekend, mi nuh put a curling iron to it yet...

sounds cute so you only have to go hairdresser bout 1x a month for shaping in the back & trim in the front

well, it's barely been 3 weeks since mi do it.

but yes, I would figure I'd have to get the back trim up an ting once a month or so..

it feel so good inna dis heat fi nuh have de hair dung inna mi back...
go a pool party with the kids last weekend and neva fret bout mi hair a get wet

I stopped creaming my hair long time. From '95 I bleached it and wore blonde curls, but cut short. Since '03 I haven't cut or creamed my hair. My locks are almost to my waist now. I tell my students that whatever could be done to hair; I've done it.

very lovely head of hair queenb! how many years did it take to get it this far/

for 15 yrs I've been literally shaving off my hair...a few times a flat out bald. I have the perfect shape head and face to go plumb crazy with my head *that* way and still get loads of compliments and of course many stares. Now, I've decided to grow back my hair.... 15 yrs and I've been spoiled by wash and go and the 3 months growth is posing a challenge. I'm a 'hair away' from running to the barber demanding a #2 cut...clean.

I'm holding off but heaven knows, I'm almost scared of my head in this state... I wear it in a 'fro...honestly, every day mi look inna di mirror and mi sey "lawd dis is not me". LOL!

2000, my first trip to Negril.



2003, Summer. Before I started growing my locks.

I really started growing in the Fall of '04, What you see is 6 1/2 years growth. It is just amazing how it grows when you stop doing the hot comb, creaming, etc. When I started trying to lock my hair, it was about 1 1/2 inches long. My little twining's were soooo short. and I had a problem getting it to lock. As you can see in the first photo, my hair is more curly than tight. I finally went to a locksmith to get the locks started.

In the both photos, my hair is natural, but bleached to rassscleet. Sis just recently stopped creaming.
