*inspired by Bizi's comment on hair expenses* I initially thought wow that is $$ but then decided to take a look at what I do and



Me:

Hair coloring & trim 6-8 weeks (pickney dem a gray mi head)
Massage & facial monthly (pickney dem a stress mi)
Eyebrow wax monthly (cause I can never remember to pluck daily)
Shellac mani and pedi every 3 weeks (cause if mi a wear mi hair in a curly fro mi need decent nails to go wid ie)

Threading -every 3 months or whenever the hairdresser ask when last me guh to tingdere (we both know threading lady)

hairdresser - about once a month.

pedi- about once a month- maybe

do you take off the polish when the nails grow out? if u do it is all good.

I have to say I do like the shellac manicure because it keeps my nails stronger and when I take it off my natural nail bed is unharmed.

I do have an extensive stash of beauty products that I use liberally in the privacy of my own home. In general, they are drugstore brands. I was using a high-end line for my face once a few years ago and it &quot;burnt&quot; my skin. Never again.

Blackstar do you color your hair? If so what do you use? I find that the color does not last as long unless I go to the salon.

I like ur low maintenance </div></div>I do use henna+indigo every 6-8 weeks. Sometimes when I'm in FL visiting my parents, I'll go to the Aveda salon and get the gray dyed. It takes months to grow out though, and by then the henna has taken over.

One thing is I wish I were more comfortable with makeup, particularly eyeshadow. When it's done well it can make you look so confident and sophisticated. I rely on my hair too much to get that &quot;spark&quot;.

Brush teeth 2-3 times daily

Oh those are just basic hygiene so dem no count dis tred is not for me

Weekly - hair, mani, pedi, professional massage
Bi-weekly - eyebrows
6 weeks or so - yard maintenance

New Tulip
Weekly - mani, pedi
Occasionally - professional massage
As needed - brows and yard maintenance
