I've always wanted to shave off my hair, but I don't have the gumption to do it. Also when I mentioned it in Ja, one male friend told me to never do that. He said women don't do that in Jamaica.

I would be afraid that after I shaved it off I would have a knobby head because I can feel small knobs that protrude from under the scalp. Of course there are always wigs to cover it up until it grew out, but they are sooooo hot especially in Ja.

Well, I tried a very light colour (dark blonde) and all the grey look like highlights! It does not change the dark brown of the rest of it, but I now have lots of 'highlights' been greying from I was 23.......

I'm getting a whole heap of gray hairs this year, well silver actually. I ain't gonna use no poison dye pon my headtop. No siree. I guess the plus side is I won't be "the BLONDE" anymore, heheh...

Well, I don't have a lot of gray yet; I prefer to think of it as my personal "highlighting system". I get lots of compliments from women and men. Then again, I am (keeping fingers crossed) going gray like my mom ~ meaning, very bright, silvery gray hairs. One big plus: since I've started getting in some gray, people don't always ask if I have a weave anymore!

What brand of hair dye do you use? For me personally I've found Loreal to be the longest lasting coverage. I started getting grays around 24yrs old. Not sure how much of me would be gray if I let it go all the way&lt;shudder&gt;

I had heard the same thing as Kia about it lasting longer if you got it done professionally so I asked my hairstylist about it. She told me it wouldn't last any longer.

I've seen some women trying to cover the gray cheaply I'm guessing and they look like a mixed beet or something.
