I have seen some of the most terrible hair styles on some black women here,..my gawd,sometimes I just want to go up and tell them straight out that the "look" naw work atall.

I would rather look at a black woman with wild unkempt natural hair any day,than one with a terrible weave,or wig.

I saw a girl the other day with the front half of the weave blonde,and the rest black,man that was some funny stuff,..trust mi.

And what is it with some of them when they spend all day in a salon and pay over a hundred pounds to get a weave then they bunch it up behind their heads like they are ashamed that people are going to think its false.
Then you get the ones who keep "flicking" the damn thing off their face like it was a natural part of them,everytime dem flick it it come back,...an dem a gwaan flick like sinting wrong wid dem neck,..especially when dem deh wid dem white frens,...waan piece a flick dem a flick.


Eau naturale for me any day ladies,...I dont mind saying it,...I hate bloody weaves and wigs,.....there`s no need for it.

Newtral and BlackICE Queen, I agree with you on the weave and wig business. I can see wearing them once in a while for a special occasion for example, but it shouldn't be a way of life. When it becomes a constant in a woman's life, I have to wonder if she isn't trying to hide *from* what's under the fake hair rather than <s>deal with</s> learn to love it...

mi falla smaddy go hairdresser satday and it mek mi even more determined seh mi nah go back to some things.

dere was a stylist there who still dida pull pon people hairline [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img] . i remember i used to go to her for braids and nuh matter how mi tell har sem mi nuh care if di hairline loose, don't dweet tight. she still a haul and pull [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img] . mi see di ooman inna di chair satday a heng on to har roots as di stylist capture and incarcerate every blasted strand a hair pon di ooman head.

den she one a work pon 3 head di sed time - one braid, one cream and one color. mi fren did have smaddy else a manicure har locs so we was in and out in less dat 2 hours. and my lady still a wok pon di 3 people dem - mussi musical chairs [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70392-silly.gif[/img] . by the time mi lef di ooman foofa hair supposed to get color ready fi pop fight caw i guess my lady did too busy fi lissen and neva color di hair right.

yeah mi prefer fimi way. it did look more natural to me i think. it wasn't the rigid, tight braids or di harsh look.
