I don't know that the adversary "played her due to her nature". What nature was that? He reasoned with her, and she tried to apply human logic (using her will, intellect and emotion) to her situation. Not irrational at all.

Why should God have bailed her out when she was faced with the test of who she should believe? Wouldn't He have to bail her out everytime after that? The issue was one of obedience. She was told "don't" which she obviously was aware of, but chose/decided to ignore.
