No, I celebrate no Christian ritual but I do enjoy Christmas.

I LOVE history, MG. I love putting pieces together. I love perspective and background. I realize that the world I live in today was in great part shaped by the biblical world, which in many ways has been disastrous. When I hear throngs of people talking about Satan, hell, heaven or Jesus' supposed return, I WANT to know where all of these things came from. I now know none of these things came by some unique divine revelation and as a result, I seek to know their origins and/or WHY they came about. It helps me to place these popular beliefs in perspective.

Even when I was a professed Christian I always wanted to know why, where and when. For example, the average Christian will pick up a New Testament and read about Pharisees and Sadducees and have no clue about their origins and what impact they really had on New Testament theology. A person like me needs to know. I'm just a curious person like that.

1. In light of your personal religious/non-religious journey, is there a quote (could be a life quote-if you have one) that best describes where you are now?

2. When you told the believing folks of your newly found experience, what was the most 'classic' response for you? (Pretty sure there were very many classics LOL*)

3. If you could choose or had the chance to sit with two people and have a serious conversation (not debate...well..maybe) on religous and/or non-religious matters, who would they be? It could be anyone, even here (ja.com ), or a philosopher, or..anyone-alive or deceased....

4. Is there someone (someone who is not a believer) who inspires you the most in your current thinking?
