sense of personal freedom
easy access to healthcare for the elderly (ambulance, meds, drs)
exposure to different cultures
encouragement to think differently/against the system
been annonymous in the big city (no su su)
less classism (is that a word [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70402-thinking.gif[/img])at work everybody on fuss name [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]
I like some aspects of how Americans relate with their children
24/7 reliable transit system

Being able to openly express a political view at election time without mi house bun dung wid mi in it.

Low risk of being executed by police.

Public restrooms.

Some are:

* doing things that we would not do at home (eating conch salad, eating chicken souse, pig feet souse, sheep tongue souse...)

*doing old things in new ways (chastising a child...without embarrassing him or her)

*learning how to handle cultural differences with tact

*"accepting of" folks as they are 'outside of the Jamaican box'

*learning a new skill...Jonkanoo craft



For example, for this costume, just about everything is handmade from cardboard...and the way it's done is so creative...
