Odda day I was in JA and overheard this phrase..."how she a try keep yaad and nuh have no dog" [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

So true...yaad and dawg go hand in hand in JA.

Fair enough. It gets cold where I am too. Culturally though, I just can't deal with the whole dawg into house thing and I came here too old to change now.

As for riding in the car. One day I rode in a coworker's car to a meeting. When mi reach, dawg hair all over mi clothes an all in mi head. An the car stink a dawg ! This lady later told me how shi all bathe the dawg in her bath.

Is all them things why people who come here from yard and get involved in a cross-cultural relationships better get to know the other person real well cause you may be in for a real cultural shock !

Of course they same the same things about Jamaicans - especially when we bring home fowl foot to make soup ! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

when i got here had to get used to people dressing informally for church - all wear jeans and ting, and big people too.

I arrived at the ripe old age of 6, but the dawg inna di house ting is one thing I cannot let go of. Dawg must ungle come to di top step.

u know there is a show on HGtv, THATS called kitchen crimes..
The investigater found that the family had a dog, and one thing that the mom used to do was pat the dog pon top of the head and go in the fridge and no wash har hand after patting the dog..
she all galang go cook food fe de family..
They did a test swab of the frigdge and the kitchen counter and found that E-coli, was found in the fridge and counter in dangerous amounts..
they had to throw away the fridge.. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]
Of course, the investigators, dem narrow it to the dog..
