My first ja.com experience was similar to my experience learning to swim..Will wade into the shallow but fraid fi jump in di deep waters cause mi neva know how fi swim properly yet....I was an ardent reader-like everyone else for a loooong while. Well that's me anyways. I will check you out first and then I'll jump in. Anyways, I do remember Mutty starting a post and inviting all the readers to come into the post. He wanted to find out why we were all the side reading and not posting. He seriously wanted to know. I don't know if he remembered that thread [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] ..Well, no one really answered so I came in and expressed my views on that subject.I said it seemed like a clique and everyone need to pay more attention to the newbies and allow them to feel a part of this clique...Of course I got it from all ends. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] an it seem like dem did wha attack mi but i wuz ready fi dem yu si(kidding)...and eventually the thread turned into a full blown joking and carrying on..(sigh)..dem people caa tek nuttn serious sah!!!..every ting dem mek joke!!..and that's the cool part about this place.. It's funny when I first came on the board I felt the opposite . I felt very welcome, I also know from other boards though it takes time for people to get a feel for who you are, and trust they can open up to you, with out you blowing up in their face. So I didn't expect that I would be paid much attention to for the first bit.

As time has gone on here I find there are some people I know don't like me very much cause I am "freak of nature" [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] but that's ok too. Out in the world you won't always click with everyone. not everyone will like you, and certainly your not gonna like everyone. why would it be any different here.

Sometimes I may not be as warm to all the new people as I am to those I know but it's also because I don't know who they are, or how they are going to react if I make one of my weird to posts to them [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

It's also hard to keep up. so many new people all the time. there is a core group of names I know and personalities I am familiar with so sometimes I respond more to them than the new ones cause frankly I feel a little overwhelmed with all the new faces all the time.

But I try to be a friendly as I can. after I been badly flamed a few times I tend to wait and see a bit before I jump in all happy, and joking.

I think people need to not be so sensitive to how the runnings seem to go at first relax realize this is the internet and this site has close to 8,000 members how many of us can expect that everybody would notice them if they were standing in a crowd of 8,000 people. You'd get to know some of those around you but it might take a long time to know and have fun interaction with everybody, and of course in a crowd of 8,000 there is bound to be a few you will never have fun with.

Uh oh I think I'm channeling Witchy too1 I'll stop besides my fingers are getting tired.

Last thing. I love it here you won't get rid of me, and in time I'm know I'll come to love all the newbies too, even if they don't love me! Well maybe not all, but lots I'm sure. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

J'cans.com taught me that when everybody is crappin' on BLOZ...they really ALL love her. Listen to Ackee cause he gives good advice. Don't piss on Bim's cornflakes...ever. Marcia is cool and willing to help you feel your way. Bandido rolls with the flow. QueenB is perhaps the most helpful person here, although grandma2, Simmy and TeaOom are right there whenever you need them. Bim and Jahlive can drink with the best of them...and me. Don't piss off certain individuals. Most of the people here are so cool that I would love to meet them. Canadians [and of course Jamaicans] rule. I miss Tuff Gong and a whole heep of other good people who have moved on. Britisha writes really well. Tigrrr is funny. kingy likes women. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Lacy, Kiwi, QK, T.small, Redj, Slim, BND, and Breeze are more fun than your average subway rider. And Xavier REALLY cares about this place.
