The infrastructure has greatly improved. Back in the early 70's,
we operated our resort without electricity using kerosene lanterns, torches and Coleman coolers. Now, we operate in cyberspace with cable tv, fax and phones.
I find that the relationships between locals and ex pats have always been strong based on a mutual concern for tourism with both groups expanding their product side by side.
The ganja culture has changed from shipment to a domestic market.
Personally, I feel that Negril and Jamaica should adapt an Amsterdam approach towards ganja and come down hard on the far more dangerous and destructive cocaine trade.
