Hip Hip HOORAY. Loving every minute of your report, but please don't say that's it. Surely you have some more photos you can share with us. Yes, I'm greedy. I just discovered Negril last year and was lucky enough to go twice in one year - but alas it will be awhile before I can return, so I'd really love more photos if you have them. Love the scenery you captured and shared with us. I'm thinking you and I could very easily be travel buddies - yes, the less tourist the better, the more isolated the better. I only require the bare essentials... beach, ocean, sun, food, warm water for showering, and an occasional red stripe light.

So precious your best day was, karma, that it turned out to be a great day for Solomon also and your Son. I know what you mean about smiling non stop - talk about cheeks hurting from smiling too much. I had a constant smile when we were there in Sept - it's was Bob's first trip and that in itself made it so very special for me.

TB is a definate next time we go - I'm thinking it's better than Negril from what you and others have shared regarding it. But I also want to experience 'Glistening Waters'. So, much to see so little time when you're actually there. Guess it will just require more trips.

Thanks for sharing - it did my soul good to read your reports today, but I want oh how I wish I were there now.

I agree 100% with Jim, you most definatly were one happy camper - you deserve it and thanks for sharing! I just keep going back and forth between your two reports and looking at the pictures. This is what I would say was a 'wonderous trip' that you had! I'm green, I'm so jealous!

Oh man.. all of you.. you gonna make me cry!!! I loved that day so much.. that you read and I got it across makes me very happy...I could have just sat right down.. and stayed.. learned to tend the field.. carry the water.. something that binds you so the land..

Where are the women? I don't see another woman, only Rasta's, your men and....... I say it again WHERE ARE THE WOMEN??? I know there are women in Jamaica where are they?

This is why I get so upset with the "AI" talk," I just wanted to vegg".,well go to California or Florida, they have good beaches and lots of big resorts.
If you take the time to come to Jamaica for Gods sake go out and see the country.

Look at this girl from NYC who is so impressed with the countryside, how difficult is it to get Solomon to run "U" out to see the surrounding area...... AROUND THE AIRPORT! Why sit INSIDE; get into Jamaica.

Nina just took her men to Treasure Beach, rented a place, had a terrific time, exploring and Vegging her own way.
Her son was able to bring a friend into his Jamaican life, everyone was enriched.
I love the adventures life. Exploring Jamaica is my happiness, I know Nina is also and adventurer and a good one, I love the travels of "Nina and her men",

Nina, this is from Soloman:

"A long time mi nuh go up there...it was a very nice day Sienna, mi nah tell ya noh lie. It kinda bring back the connection between me and the family, both ladies on my father's side. Mi remember Sista Kerr (mi grandfather's siser - the lady in the bottom photo) and the other one is my grandmother's sister. Mi know them still.

The guide's name we call him Bill. He's a cousin from my other side of the family. The little girls are my cousins...my grandfather's sisters pickney....my grandfather's sisters pickney grandpickney dem. So dem a like my great, great, great cousins.

I didn't know how much Nina would like something like this because it's not so much of a attraction for tourists, it's just woodland and farmland and lot of grounds and gardens and stuff like that and nice scenery....very green and natural spring water all over the place.

A few people recognize me when we reach up a the top of the rock spring. I enjoy myself."

I just have to say how much I understand how mesmerized you were by your adventure into the hills. It was how I spent one whole summer here (but on the east coast), the second time I ever came to Jamaica. And Nina, along with your next walking trips through Sav or Lucea, you MUST go and stay in Accompong Town for two days. You will be equally enchanted with the place, and the people you will meet and have the privelege of hanging out with....Marshall Robb, ex-Colonel Robbie, George the drum maker....accomodations are funky, but add all the more to the charm.

Who knows, depending on your timing, and with a bit of luck, I can go to!
