Well I started a thread on that line to pray for our country. What you pray for is up to you. But Christians understand that what we should pray for is God's will but I gathered that many people took that to mean Bush's will. I imagine a lot are confused about what to pray for. I and I believe Sista D alluded to the lives of all involved, but it seems the strong political sentiments either for or against has intercepted the ability of many to pray, yet another clever devise of satan. You see when you get so caught up in the emotions of all that is going on, you cannot afford not to pray. God is our rightiousness and it is He that we must all collectively call upon. He is God of all the nations therefore our prayers are directed to Him to do what is best for all the nations, and that His will must prevail.

I hope folks will start to pray though Neutral, for every minute that we drag our feet is one more victory for satan.

So then since the rest of the world is not Israel then is fair to say we can not worry about this God, we can take our lives in our own hands then and do what we please with it!

So this war-mongering-God, is this part of his retaliatory curse!
Who cursed Israel.....no scratch that what/who is Israel in the case of this war, and what curses were heaped upon Israel?

And aren't all those who name the name of Christ children of Israel by adoption into Gods family?

Well said Jedi. Those of us who do know God know what to do and how to not cease. Time is the master and God will prevail. I am feeling more saddened by the complete Blasphemy on this board than I am for the war going on right now.

SisG, when you talk of the "complete blasphemy" on the board, do you mean this thread in particular, or just in general--over the last several days, weeks, months?

Because, if we're talking about yesterday and today in particular, with people questioning how a just god can allow atrocities, I would take it to mean that people are incredibly distressed over the state of the world. Like MG said, it's human at a time like this to feel fear. It's also human to despair, to question, to try to make sense out of chaos. Strong emotions bring strong words.

Now, if you mean that in general non-believers on this site...um, well, don't believe...that's a whole different story. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] It's hard for non-believers to consider their questions and statements blasphemous, because you're talking about blasphemy against something they don't believe exists. We can think about the way in which we choose our words (we non-believers) so that we don't offend what you hold dear, but we probably won't change our minds about the existence/non-existence of the Christian God.

sistag`, with all due respect mam,but I dont believe that god exists,so the charge of blasphemy cant really be leveled at me.
I dont believe that anyone call god exists,and I dont believe in the bible,and I dont believe in christianity,and I dont believe in religion.
I dont really think I can blaspheme against something that I dont believe exists,those who dont believe in pixies and speak out against pixies are not necessarily blasphemous.they are merely exercising their rights to their opinions in a democratic society.

I am talking about this forum of late and it is getting worse due to, as CG says, war. Words are getting stronger and emotions are high.

First off let me say I don't go around anywhere, not on this board or in my real life trying to beat God into anybody and I never will so no one has to tell me what they believe in or don't *shrug* that is your life and I don't lose an ounce of sleep over it.

I am saddened though because I do believe in God and the christians who DO read in this forum take blasphemy to heart. It is the one unforgiveable sin.

Those who don't believe, out of respect for a person who does believe why say those things? oh! I forgot...because it doesn't mean anything to YOU.

I have known alot of you guys on this board for a long time..yall know how I stay. I guess for once in my time on this BB I took this one personally.

I too, myself have been disheartened [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] at some of the negative responses that have come about as a response to my post with all due respect to God.. but I refuse to let the DEVIL steal my joy.

I know of a true God... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] and there is nothing & no one can that can sway or move me from where my love will remain to lie.

I will continue to pray for the lost.
