Churches in the GTA and beyond. I have been to over 30 and to MANY inter-church conferences, singles events and functions. I get around, trust me. I must confess though that I am not AS familiar with Pentecostal churches although I have been to some services and some events at Pentecostal churches. I have never been to any Church of God or Apostolic churches or church events.

I am not talking about dating. I am asking why they don't go to the Christian singles events and what events they DO attend.

I've seen the demographics of your Church and the men have always openly spoken freely to the women in the congregation. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Britisha...Trust me...this is not a Canadian thing! The same scenario you are seeing, black with white, and white with black, is the exact same thing here as anywhere in the world. The woman are not Hollywood types, nor are the men. They are your average everyday people whether Christian or not.

Well Compry. I will check it out again but the last time you told me things were different at your church, I decided to check it out. I attended the Christian singles conference at your church. I saw:

- a TON of Black women on their own
- Precisely 4 Black men who were so shy they interacted with no one
- many white women with boyfriends
- not even one interracial couple

Not the picture that you had painted. Maybe as you say they don't go to the singles functions. We'll see. I will turn up for a service one of these fine days and report what I see back on the board. I hope I am not disappointed again.

Is it the same one who invited me to some function coming up? The way I see it is, if the men are interested in meeting women they will. But I find most people go to Church to Worship. Not to seek out other singles. If and when the time is right, the right person who God sees fit for that person will be placed in that person's life.

Here's my weekly church schedule:
Sunday morning - reach church when dem start singing. After church...mi sey hi to any of people dem wey mi know on the way out.

Sunday night - reach church about 15 minutes before it start because mi want get good parking. Sit with a couple of the ladies from my bible study group and a couple of the guys who insist on hanging around us. Chat bout di morning service or wah wi had fi dinna.

Wednesday night - bible study. Reach just in time fi the prayer and den we get into the word. Leave right after cuz mi kids dem also attend their programs and mi haffi pick dem up.

Most Friday night mi guh out wid my friend suh mi find it difficult fi wake up and guh Saturday morning prayer meeting. Cho, yuh si how you mek mi chat sey mi have prayer meeting pan a Satideh morning. Mi juss get miseff inna trouble.

It may have been wet and cold here, but at least you were in your own bed! Not a waterlogged tent! Seriously though it was great. The children had a blast.
