WHAT DOES BLACK PEOPLE MEAN WHEN THEY SAY
CHRISTIANITY IS A WHITE MAN'S RELIGIONS?
It is said that, The Queen of England wrote to emperor Selassie, and ask
him if she could send missionaries to his country. He wrote back to her and told her
that he can send missionaries to England, because Africa get the
gospel before the white world.
Because Phillip the apostle, preach to the Ethiopia eunuch, and the
eunuch brought back Christianity to Africa which
quickly spread like a mighty stream. So during the time when the
apostles were contemplating if the gentiles should get the gospel,
God in his endless mercy has already send the gospel to Africa.
It was a black man that help Christ carry his cross.
Acts 8:26-AV And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying,
Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from
Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
Acts 8:27-AV And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of
Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the
Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come
to Jerusalem for to worship,
Acts 8:28-AV Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read
Esaias the prophet.
Acts 8:29-AV Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join
thyself to this chariot.
Acts 8:30-AV And Philip ran thither to [him], and heard him read
the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou
readest?
Acts 8:31-AV And he said, How can I, except some man should guide
me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
Acts 8:32-AV The place of the scripture which he read was this,
He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb
before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
Acts 8:33-AV In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and
who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the
earth.
Acts 8:34-AV And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray
thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some
other man?
Acts 8:35-AV Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same
scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
Acts 8:36-AV And as they went on [their] way, they came unto a
certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what
doth hinder me to be baptized?
Acts 8:37-AV And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine
heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Acts 8:38-AV And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and
they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch;
and he baptized him.
Acts 8:39-AV And when they were come up out of the water, the
Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no
more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:40-AV But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through
he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
WHAT BLACKS MEAN:
Years ago in New haven Ct, a missionary came back from Africa after
spending eighteen years there. His children were born there. He came
home and was starting a new ministry in our aria, his wife and
daughters invite my wife. One Sunday we went and pay a visit, we were
the only black person in the church that day, the man
preach a great sermon. After church was over we went to greet him.
The man froze up and us, and so the rest of the congregation.
In their eyes we were not even there. Yet he was in black countries
preaching. This is what blacks talking about, a Christinaity that preach
love, but refuses to demonstrate.
CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT SOLIDARITY:
Sometime some of the most anus crime as done to innocent blacks, and
no body from the church came, nor give there voices against it.
In the shooting that done by those two black men a few months ago, the
reporter keep saying" Say he is a Jamaican" The two guys are mentally
ill. They suppose to be Muslims and are talking to a priest, who ever
hear of such a thing!
Blacks do not mean that the whole body of
CHRISTIANITY is a white's religions. After observing the church
people in the community and saw no solidarity in them, they quickly
say the people are presenting the white's man version of
Christianity.
Now I must caution that not all white church has no solidarity.
In the same New Haven on dixwell ave, if I remember it name.
I counted twenty eight church own and run by blacks and is only
the one white church down the road has a daily
food feeding programed. More black people were eating there that
white.
So both white and blacks have a element of idiocy
among them in their worship, and daily lives. However, I believe that up
till now the Ethiopian has the purest form of Christianity.
Once again do not go pick on people, then blame it on my writing.
Many of us black people preach the gospel and do not even believe in
Jesus. Many time I posted an article, and people ridicule it and
eighty percent of it is just Bible verses. If I was to put a
quotation mark at the Bible verses, the whole things would be full of
quotations marks. They say they believe in the Bible, yet they do not
what to hear its quotation.
