Gosh, sometime in the mid 80s.

It reminds me of a market [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] . A vibrant and dynamic environment with people going about doing their thing in just about all areas imaginable for a public board. There is something for everyone here.

4. You've been here since 2001, what has kept you coming back?

Primarily the chance to interact with different people and to share useful information with others. I am fascinated by the way people think, and I love debating/exchanging ideas.

5. What in your opinion is the best asset of this bulletin board?

Having moderators who keep a close eye on things. I hate to think what it would be like if these hard working folks were not around.

2.) What's your fondest memory of Jamaica?

3.) If you were to live your 20s over again, what would you change and what would stay the same? what were the things you wish you did that you weren't able to do at the time?

How long have you been a christian?

Having being brought up in the Church, I was 12 years old when I first gave my life to Christ. I survived the teenage years but a traumatic childhood experience flared up and for a number of years, I really did not trust God to take care of me. I was still in the Church, but rebelled in different ways (nothing outrageous). God was gracious enough to heal my brokeness while waiting on me, and I totally sold out to Him in 1994, this time, for good.

Have you ever thought about giving up your christian walk?

No, though I have not always been diligent about it. Despite my "rebellious" years, I had no desire to be away from the Church or the fellowship, and deep down I always wanted to be His. Now that I know He can be trusted beyond any shadow of a doubt, the idea of giving it up is inconceivable.

1 - Where did you learn to play such a mean game of dominoes?

2 - With the different discussions you start or participate in, do you ever find it difficult to 'remain the gentleman' when things get a little heated?

I never gave it any prior thought. The opportunity presented itself and I took it.

Funnily, there were some negative things I did not care for such as in my very early years, my parents not having much for all five of us, but those experience have so shaped me to be who I am that I am not sure I would change anything.

Go to university; join the army.

4.) What's the silliest/craziest thing you did while you were still in school?

Nothing really [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] . I was always a teacher's pet, a bookworm, and very quiet. I actually went grades 1,3,4 and 6 in primary school, was a serious bookworm in High School, so I didn't have the time or the inclination to do silly stuff [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] .

Initially I went back twice per year, but now I fly my mom over when she visits the US. It is cheaper. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

4. What/Who made you migrate to Canada and how long have you been there?

There was a program for professionals in JA offered by the Candian High Commission, and I took advantage of it. First time I came here was the day I officially migrated, April '89.

My dad taught me on our dining table when I was about 9 or thereabouts. Prior to his death, a group of us played just about every Friday night/Saturday morning, running a "boat" or two in between.

Not really. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and usually I simply state mine and leave it at that. Some people seem to take disagreements seriously and if someone gets a bit out of joint, I simply leave that discussion and move along. I would never lose who I am because of a discussion, public or private.
