1. If I could have done anything differently it definitely would have been going straight through college without working. I didn't have a full scholarship but when I look back at it I could have survived as a student solely on financial aid. Now I am working two jobs and finishing schooling.
2. Yes it has definitely. When I was "running wild" the only thing that mattered was living day to day. I didn't care about the people that I (purposely or accidentally) hurt with my bad mouth, selfish actions and bad attitude. I know that in doing those things I was not setting a good example for myself or what I proclaimed to be. Now it's all about Him, trying to be what He wants me to be and living a saved life. It's definitely not something that comes easy (there were a lot of things and people I had to cut out of my life) but I know that I am a work in progress and that I am not perfect. I am just grateful for His grace and mercy because I know if it were not for that I would be dead.
3. The most challenging aspect is dealing with tests. I posted in DearK about the gentleman at my family's church that has been hitting on me and when it all first occurred I was dealing with it instead of turning it over to the Lord and letting Him handle it. My first mind always wants to lash out and solve the problem but that usually makes things worse. I need to learn to lean on and trust Him more.
4. Three strengths: intuitiveness, my faith and my strong will
three weaknesses: carbohydrates, my temper (which has gotten a LOT better) and Jamaicans.com [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
5. I think one thing that would stick in your mind is my smile. I have been told that my smile is unforgettable.
6. Away from the board, I am pretty quiet and reserved. I keep to myself because I like to watch my surroundings and just feel out whats going on.
7. Him not being a believer would affect the outcome of a relationship but I do not base decisions on a relationship on religion alone. I have met a lot of men that called themselves Christian and were into a lot of things that I won't even mention (the man of position at the church is one ), and I have met men that believe in the Lord but do not attend church every Sunday and (in my opinion) set a better example of what a Christian is than the people I see in church. But his faith would definitely put a lot of weight on the decision.

1. I love how we have managed to withstand all odds and hardships and make something out of nothing. My grandparents have stories to tell (and trust me they will be glad to have someone sit and listen) about how hard it was for them growing up in the late 40's/early 50's and my great grandma was born in the early 1900s and before she passed she made sure that I knew where she came from. It amazes me how they even survived and kept the family line going. I know my temperments come from generations of survivors.

1. Music and dancing comes to mind. The love of reggae is what brought me to JA and until I can't dance anymore I will continue to go.
2. My precious died last year (cat-Burmese mix) but I think I will be buying either a mini poodle or a jack terrier later on this year.
3. Japan, Australia and Italy. I hope to take the trip to Japan within the next two-three years to do some serious shopping [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
4. No and that is why I will soon be quitting my full time job (sometimes I have to work on Sundays so that means I can't go to church as well). Physically I am killing myself with two jobs and class (I am exhausted). That's why I go to Jamaica so much because I know that is the only location where I can actually wind down and not have to worry about work.
5. To be honest I have no idea how I balance, it just all works out. Unwind-can you tell me what that means? *LOL* The only thing that helps me to unwind is exercise (I exercise every night before bed).

Morning/Afternoon date: I love to have fun and I would like to do something like go hiking or to an amusement park (I like rollercoasters).
For an evening date: I would like to try a new type of food (something neither he nor I have had before) at a restaurant with a nice view. That would be followed with dancing (if a man can't dance then I can't be bothered with him after the first date) and then late night dessert and coffee (I have a mad sweet tooth).
9. Nope I don't care what people think of me because regardless of how I am, act or live my life, someone will always have something negative to say. What people think of me is their problem not mines.
10. Pet peeves: nail clipping in public, people that fall asleep on BART and snore, throat clearers (that is my top pet peeve), and people that cough/sneeze and either do it in their hands (germs just accumulating-yuck) or don't cover their mouths at all (who wants to breathe other peoples germs? [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] )

1. I have not tried many of Prescriptives products but I am switching over this year so I'll write that down and inquire about it.
2. Nope I moved from SF to Oakland to San Leandro to Concord (where I am now).
3. Hmmm...I actually like Arkansas. It is slow and not the city life that I am used to but the land that my family has is just gorgeous *sigh* it is so peaceful and quiet there.
4. Nope not yet but my aunt used to live there and told me that she thinks I would like Boston.
5. I have lived in CA the majority of my life and I am ready for a change. When I started looking at colleges before I got out of hs, my intent was to attend either Jackson State or Florida A & M. I want to move around the southern area of the state (still asking a lot of questions to boardies and checking out places online about the areas that they live in).
