I am having the hardest time deciding which one to choose. Has anyone tried the patch? What were the side affects. Which one has the least side effects. Just want to hear other opinions.

I never hear of a birth control that is 100% surity, but I think condoms are the best things to use these days, as they protect you from germs if your partner should be unfaithful, others will not...go for the laytex my dear.Comment

Tierra, I have friend that use the patch, I haven't heard them talk about any side effect. A couple of week ago there was talk about a new birth control but you have to go into your dr office to have it inserted, its a tube or coil something really small...I am sure if you ask your dr he or she might know about it...Since I don't want anymore children I'm with Leonie on abstaining 100% [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] , atleast until I re-marry...Comment

not true some people are allergic to that nonoxyl 9 they frequently coat them with - also some people are allergic to latex and have to use sheepskin (which are porous and don't fully protect against STD).Originally posted by RichD:

I use an IUD.... have it inserted ... lasts 10 years before you have to change it.... never even think birth control at all anymore..
No fuss, No mess
*** IUDs are best for women who have already had children.....Comment

I've tried the pill, the IUD, the Depro Provera injection. The one I liked the best is tubal ligation. No fuss, no mess, nothing to remember. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]Comment

((Moosh))) Did the pill and IUD (Q7 is the top choice); when the pill failed, I thought the tubal was also the best until all the after effects started coming to light... the ever-increasing heavy flow... the ever-increasing pain and discomfort and bloating... etc. not to mention the distinct possibility that the procedure itself may have caused my bladder to drop out of position... resulting in surgery to correct...
In spite of all that has transpired in the past year, I am satisfied that the best method has finally been achieved! Removal of all unnecessary parts and attachments...Comment

my method is to tie my tubes. After the last one I said once you are in there just tie up, cut off, anything that needs to be done. No more worries.Comment
