You probably don't believe in keeping the 7th day holy, or that there are meats we are not to eat, or that divorce and remarriage is a sin, etc. What will we accomplish here? Remember this..

MsGoodness in the middle, the first two verses of Deuteronomy are distinct from the subsequent verses in that the chapter is listing people NOT allowed in the congregation (better read...amongst the people of God). The list includes bastards and men with injured or no testicles AND Amonites and Moabites. The bastard and mr "no nuts" did not necessarily have to be an Amonite or Moabite. It just states that no such people, regardles their nationality were allowed, even an Israelite. The Moabite and Amonite were banned for revenge factors not whether their men had "nuts" or not or whether they were bastards.

And Tony, these people did not have to become "saved" in order to enter. They were NOT even allowed to be a part of the congregation to start with. they were banned, prohibited, discriminated against, rejeceted, forbidden, etc.

This raises yet another point. If a Moabite was not allowed in god's congregation, how did Ruth become a part of God's people (Israel)? She was from Moab.

I merely wanted to see where you got the information that men wore skirts before the Bible was written. Seeing that you are not familiar with the Bible, but you adhere to history books, it is safe to assume this was an assumption. Fair enough. I have news though, it never happened. We see pictures that someone drew and old Bible movies, but the scriptures say that men wore breeches=britches=pants/trousers. No references were given as far as women wearing these said breeches. could you please quote the biblical reference about men wearing breeches=britches=pants/trousers? i think these were pretty popular menswear during King James' Day. This is the first I'm hearing that they were also popular among pre-Common Era males...you may be referring to a mistranslation of the bible into English...neverthesless, i would truly welcome the actual biblical reference to the wearing of britches. thanks.

If we read Romans 7 Which is often at the center of theological debates. We will see that the law is Done away with.
GOD is a spirit. He is not dealing with the Physical anymore. Romans7 vr9 But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Clothing is about flesh. GOD cares about the spirit. So a woman can wear PANTS TO CHURCH ANYTIME! MS G

one of the reasons women wear pants to church, at least that i've seen here in canada, is because it is much warmer in the wintertime. many of the senior women in my mother's church wear pants all the time.

As you obviously know, Ruth lived UNDER the law so Deuteronomy 23:3 would have to apply to her.

Rather long to print them all. Although they gave references to the priest, these are all given to men alone. Different Biblical refences translate breeches to britches, a common term used by people of old and old timers now. We refer to them as pants/trousers.
