I've learned some things about a country that I have grown fond of & is very beautiful & I love to visit.

I have learned that there are a lot of other people in this world who feel the same way about their jobs as I do. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I have learned that I am not the only one who surfs the 'net at work. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I have learned some great jokes, recipes, & picked up a few Jamaican phrases, that my Jamaican friends are scratching their heads wondering how and where I learned it from. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Also it's great to get other people's opinions about topics that your family has grown sick of hearing or can't be objective about. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

my thoughts:

Ja.coms is dangerous to ones plans to do anything other than walk the board. For instance, I came on here at 10.20pm tonight "just for a few minutes as I am going to bed early so I can get up early tomorrow to fry fish before work" - so an hour plus later I am still here

Children can (and will) be ignored as Ja.coms takes over the mind.

Cooking becomes a dangerous activity (unless using the microwave).

On the up side:

I've 'met' some really lovely people - some for real too

I've learnt that I really hate Marilyn, AngieB, QueenB and all those from the US that can reach JA more than once a year [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] AND have the nerve to post on the board

Dahjah has more women online than any casanova I've ever read/heard about [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

I discovered things about Jamaica that I didn't know before and confirmed things that I did know but had forgotten.
