I spend 11 days in Jamaica, then have a busy work week last week so I could not be on the net. I finally get a chance to read this story, and it's still not finished :verymad: :verymad: :verymad:

The story is great though Nunya. Lots of suspense and unexpected twists and turns. Definately worth the wait, so I will sit patiently and wait for the next installment [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Enough! Cila's cup was full and overflowing. Her thoughts were angrily chaotic as she packed her small travel case. Winston had hit her before. But she had consoled herself with the thought that at least she wasn't getting beaten as often as many others were.

He was neglectful. She had just spent 4 months in New York, hoping that her absence would have made him fonder. He barely noticed her when she walked through the door.

Cila knew her husband had other women - it was no big deal. All the women in her circle knew that their husband fooled around. Cila had comforted herself with the knowledge that these women meant nothing to him and that at the end of the day, he would be coming back to her.

Cila was confused because she had done everything right! She had stuck with her man, giving him chance after chance. She had ignored her little voice, the one that had screamed at her when he had first hit her Call the police! She had ignored the little voice in New York when it had urged Stay here! She had paid no attention to the voice that had said If im cyaa keep to im yard, im a go bring home flea...

She could ignore the voice no longer. Cila was leaving Winston.

Michael glanced over at Devon and smiled in amusement. To be young. The similarities between the scared, enraged, wraith of last night was almost gone. Almost. Even as Devon sat relaxed and engrossed in the movie, Michael could see the constant flickering of his eyes to the door and the window. The tautness of his neck and the back of his skinny hands, showed that his guard wasn't fully down, his trust hadn't really been given.

Michael lowered his voice and said to Beyoncina, "It look like Irma plan fi tek in de yout."

"Das good. Irma a good people," Beyoncina nodded her head in approval.

"Mi no tink dem a go can stay here though," Michael mused. "Cawse, one day Jones an im fren might get it eena dem head fi try a ting..."

"Yeah, yuh right. But is a lot fi she deal wid right now, nuh true? No work, sudden pickney, an den no place..."

The driver was busy checking out the pictures that Bingy had left on the passenger seat. He rubbed himself in anticipation of getting Irma in the car. If she could do that with both Rocky and the other man, she wouldn't have a problem doing the same for Bingy and him.

He looked up expecting to see Bingy and her but his head swivelled back to the front. Was that her? Coming down the road with another dawta? He peered closer and yes! It was her!

He flung the door open, jumped out of the car and yelled simultaneously to Bingy, "BINGY!"
