Tomorrow my wife and I are travelling from Boston to Jamaica to try to help family & friends affected by Ivan. I am American, she is Jamaican (she recently moved to the U.S. to marry me) (lucky me [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] ).
We are bringing 4 50-lb boxes of supplies of various kinds (the max the airline said they will allow). We plan to rent a good vehicle, travel to Cauldwell (Hanover) to look for dear friends we have not heard from, and then proceed to Kingston where my wife's family lives. They had the roof blown off their house.
Advice is welcome (what to expect, what to bring, what routes to travel). Or just wish us luck.
