Since me loose me train of thought...
Ahhhh ..yes, the craft market..
Here's another scenerio by the craft market.
After we were done shopping, we just kinda strolled along the pier..




another pictah by the craft market..
but something interesting..
Notice the likkle, itty, bitty crab dem pon the pier slab.
tried to magnify 4x pon the camera, but this was the best I could get..
Look good man ...u will see the crabs dem....
See one drop off inna de wata deh to the sideeee..

Now while we were there, it rained every single day except for one day...
but that was alright..
It didnt rain very long except for Friday, where it just poured and poured..
As me a ooman no tooko and no ca-e
I still went shopping never the less..
the picta shows the storm brewing...

7's I am so enjoying your pictures and report of Barbados I have been shopping for airfare and hotels for July, I'm still considering it, the money thing May have to start a massive change jar if we decide to go there in July.

The Barbados dollar is higher than the other currencies used in most of the Caribbean - 2 BDS to 1 US. I think that's why a lot of tourists find it expensive.

777, I have pics of Rockley Beach somewhere around but it's to look for them. Will try to find some to post.. your pics bring back good memories of being there.

thats what the bajans are proud of ....
the fact that there dollar is strong..
in the Caribbean..
but if it were to devalue, look how many tourist would come.
Do u know that the majority of their tourist industry is from the Brits..
I was surprised when I spoke to the Asst manager who told me that he had just attended a conference with other managers and asst managers, and that they were struggling to get the Americans in. They said, that they had been trying hard for years, but because of the dollar not being devalued,and prices of airfare being so high, and other factors, it has been extremely hard for them.. England on the other hand has been good to them and been keeping the tourist industry there afloat. Most of their money is coming from the Brits..
I wonder what England's got that we havent got?
I wonder also if its not because the Brits pound is stronger than the US dollar and can go farther?

I have absolutely no idea where this place was..
probably just snapping away, when we got lost, the "numerous" times that we did! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]





This is a fire house in Bridgetown.
We had just finished shopping, so when I passed it, it looked interesting enough, but there was a firefighter standing by it, so I kinda took it as I strolled by.


I loved the architecture of this church. I thought it was breathtaking. We parked opposite it, and before we leff Bridgetown, I just had to stop, gaze at it and tek a picture.
I just love it....

Now Barbados have some *serious roundabouts*...
I think these horrid things made us more lost than ever..
When a Bajan seh *go straight*...
Straight noh really mean straight...
It means go round the corner and follow the road...
Every day, we get lost..

yes, miss Sandi..
Me wayna try *island hop* to St Vincent and St Lucia too...
but the people at the airport, act like a noh something dem do.... but dem can fly u individually to each isalnd if u want, but no tours, nothing...
Me speak to the agents at *Liat*,when me first landed - no help..

but me never plan well enough.....next time, me will tek the time to think it though..and find an agent who knows about these things...
but maybe next year, we will see how it goh....
