I try to absorb that and ignore the crap.

Boukman was the Jamaican that was able to read.
That is how he got his name. He escaped from Jamaica and went to Haiti,wher he instigated the uprising.
he was also murdered, by faction of Haitians who was opposed to his action.

I also observed that the black woman that he was saying all this to seem to be repulsed by him.

Well said Leddih...The Devil and the selling of one's soul to Him is a Christian construct. And cant be applied to Haitian Vodun. There is no devil per se to worship or &quot;make deals&quot; with. So even if the Bois Caiman meeting took place, what was carried out is nothing like what the was imagined....but that is another conversation altogether.

And why is it that Haiti is being punished by God for starting a slave revolt 200 yrs later?

The alternative was to continue being slaves that was sanctioned by Christian rule at the time, and then God would have favoured them enough not to wipe them off the face of the earth?

They will just do enough until the media is gone.

And then the world will believe that they did so much, but the record has shown that in countries with such high percemt of blacks, this has been the record.

HThere are many traditions of Boukman..He was Haitian born to English planter, He was a pardo.. Taino / African, he was a Jamaican creole.. ie born in Jamaica, he was a slave born a slave in Africa, he was the son of a Maroon he was even a &quot;coloured&quot; one theory I heard... But all traditions he was a slave driver and a coach man, the ultimate house slave and this is important...Thus he would have told Masa &quot;wi house a bun dung&quot; according to the missleading tradition that Malcolm X popularised....

More importantly he managed to get the Haitian maroons on his side... He followed the traditions of Makadal and Hauetey... And he did send out feelers that early to Jamaican icons of rebellion very early which they rejected before he was killed The man undestood the need to prevent the french forces from concentrating ... This is a historical issue that is never addressed , the fact that there were repeated rebellions in Jamaica before the treaty yet there was minimal maroon participation in these rebellions ????? Something Tacky never managed and ultimatley why he failed..
