palettes of these things have been distributed by now, and thousands and thousands of people are eating them with no problem and expressing gratitude if the blogs and twitter and facebook are any indication.

to suggest otherwise is a little irresponsible if you ask me.

Not entirely true. Haiti was debated for days when some citizens took matters into their own hand and got rid of Aristride.

We heard similar crap, how it was not Haiti's fault. That they were made poor because of the onerous burden of the French Ransom coupled with the USA Blockade of its Ports. We were also heard told if Aristride had not asked for the money he would not have been overthrown.

The same links were posted and the same tyaid arguments were used......then it all quieted down.
So give it ....oh, about a month or two and it will go away, something else will replace it.

Chances are some other failed African or Caribbean Nation will have some catastrophic problem which will need spinning.....err explanation. The ones who feel it is the white man's fault on one side vs the ones who seek the truth whatever it it is.

That is because I have been ther and tasted the biscuits, and the higher the protein the more rancid it is. The is r4eally no reason to issue high protein food to people who have not eaten for days.
It is more damaging than it i s beneficial.
the digestive system cannot cope with high protein after such a long period of hunger.
They need to start with carbs sugar and water.
Then miv eon to high protein foods after the digestive system is functiioning properly.
Since the system will not be able to go from hunger to digest high protein foods.
But the people who are doing this are usually dietitians and they treat th body like it is a machine.
It does not work like that.
You don't just turn the key and it is ready to run.
It have to be eased into operation gradually.

The Haitians did not say that.
They say the biscuit is not good. That is what the Haitian said.
The reporter, change that to mean it is about date. and expiry.
They open the packages, taste the biscuit are discard it, if it was the date, you don't have to open the package to see thedate.
and so many people will not be hungry and refuse to eat the biscuit just because of some date.
The same thing happen in the Asian tsunami.
then they made the excuse that they were not use to the taste.
It is just that the thing is rancid.

point being they have been using these things all over the world for YEARS.

it's completely irresponsible to spread any kind of mis informed ridiculous opinions that they are &quot;rancid&quot; or taste rancid or aren't any good when they are literally saving peoples lives with these things. not to mention the problem was ESTABLISHED by boots on the ground that it was a rumor and an issue with people not fully understanding the dating on the packaging. The confusion was in more than one place, so this is CONFIRMED to be the problem, not the taste.

I mean, the morphology on this one is deranged. on one hand these were WWII biscuits stored for decades in warehouses, usable only for poor people in disasters because...? well we didn't get to that before we morphed on. Then people couldn't understand how to tear a foil package open, they needed instructions, in creole, else a census form in china would start bleeding in patwas.

back to the real world.

in some WFP initiatives such as in Africa and in practically any recent disaster you can look up and in some famine relief situations or even in general hunger relief programs they are part of daily diets provided for people in danger of starvation, again, for YEARS...and guess what, they will be used to feed people in HAITI for a long time coming, millions of people will be eating these to stay alive while regular food stuffs like rice and beans are brought in and WFP kitchens are set up. In fact as of this moment thousands and thousands and thousands of people ARE EATING THEM.

The adjective more appropriately describe the poster than the workers.
Since any person appropriately described anything otherwise, would e know that their is always a problem in any operation.
Not to mention an unplanned operation of this magnitude. If thes high protein biscuits was so tasty, why are they not commercially available on the shelves?
If they were even pleasant,you think they would be stored in the wharehouse of the UN food program without getting onthe black market?

In African famines they issue uncoooked grain, Maize and sugrum). Not biscuits
And watch how fast they are going to switch the diet, they are distributing in Haiti.
