Depending on your field you can fet a total student loan forgiveness. My loan company forgave the loans on my Education Degree, because I taught in a Shortage area. Of course when the loans were paid off, then I changed areas. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I started my program in January and since I just picked up an emphasis, I won't finish until fall 2005.

It's really expensive and I don't have any tuition reimbursement, but it's a good thing you do. I'm about ready to sell a kidney on Ebay to pay for Spring semester.

I'm getting an MBA and I was really nervous, b/c I don't have a business bkgd. My undergrad degrees were in Journalism and Black Studies. I have suprised myself,though. I've got a 3.4 GPA so far. I'm taking my 8th and 9th class this quarter.

I like my program b/c it has 9 wk quarters instead of semesters. That way, just when you're tired of studying the same subject, the quarter is over and you're on to the next class.

Call on me, girl, if you wanna talk about how much school is stressin' you out. I'm there right now. I have been pulling my hair out trying to finish my latest project, so I know what it's like...

Also, I got an A in stat, so I'm here if you need any help. (Don't ask me how I got an A, b/c I truly thought I was getting a C. I had to think real hard on the last few wks of class, thinking, 'Did I get drunk and sleep w/my professor?' 'Cause for the life of me, I couldn't understand how I pulled an A.) Anyway...

Fed law says that you may deduct up to $2500. on your taxes for "lifetime learning". I think that is the name. Anyway at the end of the year, your school will send you a statement to be filed w/ IRS stating how much you paid. Up to $2500. can be duducted.

Yopu can also deduct the interest you pay on your loans. I do not know if there is a limit.

You can deduct up to $2500 of the interest paid on your student loans. Your lender should be sending you a form 1098 every year.
