Re: I took a leap of faith and did it...
You go, Wendy. I got my MEd about a year and a half ago, while working fulltime AND iggling on JA.com. It really wasn't that hard, just very research intensive.
I concur with ILPortland about having some research topics in mind in advance, and I suggest doing projects on topics that you're passionate about. In spite of the stress, that makes it SOMEWHAT enjoyable! Instead of a master's thesis, I had a comprehensive exam that I REALLY let myself get torqued up over, but then surprised myself by getting a mid 90's score. I finished up in about a year and a half (taking a full load one summer). The cost was pretty significant, plus I had to pay it out of pocket (I wasn't eligible for any sort of tax deduction due to income). It was a very enriching experience - one that I highly recommend. You'll do fine.
