There most definitely is life elsewhere in the universe. Mankind's handle on things is so zenophobic from town to town, parish to parish, state to state, country to country,...galaxy to galaxy.
The human limitations which we have saddled upon our perfect creator are laughable. The Most High is male, black/white, blah blah blah.
Remember when the catholics said that we were the centre of the universe? That everything revolved around earth and their 'money-magnet' church? Poor Galileo...excommunicated to hades for speaking the truth. Oh, pardon me, he must have been set free from his firey prison when the good church admitted a few years ago that they had fouled that one up.
This is but a holding tank. We are here to live learn and 'write' our test. Pass and move closer to the centre of the universe. Fail...and repeat your grade...or get sent even further away from the ultimate goal.
As we move closer and closer to creation we will see all that there is to see...and know all that there is to know. At this time and place we know nothing. We aren't even capable of respecting one another let alone loving ourselves.
If this is all there is...then I will have to revamp my thinking and accept the fact that Hell does, in fact, exist. At least I won't have to buy into the fairy-tale concept of Heaven.
As a believer,
by believer I assume a Christian believer .
do you believe in the existience of life on any other celestial body besides Earth?
I believe with God all things are possible!
However I have no scriptural proof of life on other planets. I do believe (according to the bible) there is a supernatural realm which is comprised of 'evil' and 'good' spiritual beings. I also believe that these spiritual beings have manifested themselves in the natural realm (according to the bible).
Duppies, angels, rolling calf (sorry rollin could not resist), aliens, cherubims, seraphims, etc. are probably different types of these spiritual beings.

Only Christians are believers?
You want proof of the existance of life on other celestial bodies from scriptures composed by mere mortals back in an era when they thought that the earth was flat?
There most definitely is life elsewhere in the universe.
"most definitely" my foot!
Prove it! If you can't then it’s just opinion and as opinion it no better or worse (probably worse) than anyone else's.

How about proof from you? You say there "most definitely is life elsewhere." I say you're blowing smoke. Prove it!
Feel free to use any equations and the latest scientific data your research has provided.
I believe this thread is about life elsewhere other than Earth. It's not about God or about homosexuality. Despite the difficulty, see if you can keep on topic, Ohliz.
Sorry Angelfire but I'm not following you and you are posting on a public bulletin board.
If you say something I feel like commenting on, I will do so until a moderator tells me I have broken a board rule. As far as I know, challenging the assertions of another poster is not against the rules.
If it is too difficult for you to be challenged in your beliefs or defend them against comment or you just don't like me, that's fine. This board has a handy "ignore" function that is available to us all.
Just click on my username, go to my profile, and click "Add to Ignore List". Then you don't need to read anything I write.
I suppose as long as I've been part of an argument on this topic, the least I can do to is respond to the original question.

Short answer - with God all things are possible. If God can create earth, why not life on other planets?
The Bible certainly refers to extraterrestrial beings - angels - though does not say they live on other celestial bodies, unless you think of Heaven as one.
There are passages one could take to point to extra-t life though:
"According to the Book of Job 26:11-13, when Lucifer, 'the Boastful Angel' and his followers rebelled, Yahweh destroyed their dwelling places a place in the heavens called 'Rahab', which was reduced by God to 'stones of fire'. The Book of Enoch hints that Rahab was an actual world in the sky which God smashed. "
In the New Testament, the Star of Bethlehem, a celestial object for sure, certainly did not behave as stars normally do on the night of Jesus' birth.
Some people have examined that in pretty great detail, from considering whether the star was really a comet, or a conjunction of planets or even...a spaceship.
