i believe our faith fluctuates from strong to weak throughout our lives. the average person will go through periods of doubt, this is normal, i believe not to question is acutally not human. God, who knows all, must have forseen that not all people would end up christian and that other faiths will dominate the earth. now how to explain this?

It is a fact that our existance as a species is limited on this planet as with other animals we are not going to be around forever. we have an expiration date and scientific data proves this. Scientist have actually given a date as to when the human species will expire. the date was reached according to the conditions forcast for the earth climatic conditions as predicted in the coming centuries. so how to explain this?

we will have to leave this planet eventually to exist as a species, we have not been able to convince the majority of earth's population to follow christianity and now the universe will no doubt have aliens with their own religions. go figure. im still confused about religion and science, which one is fact and which is fiction. help?

I'm inclined to science. but I don't really care if people decide they don't except it.

Nature.com is a good place to start, if you want to look at what science has to offer. I don't really see why belief in God and religion has to be to the exclusion of science. But some people feel that way. But then I notice the intelligent design crowd uses science to justify their opinions. so clearly science and religion can share a common bed. I just wish that they wouldn't throw out the evidence they don't like.

science it's self is neutral it's the viewer that decides how to interpret it.

I am also inclined to believe scientific data but i am also inclined to turn to god in times of crises, this in the long run makes me feel like a hypocrite. When im out of crisis i turn to science to explain the universe and human condition and then in times of crisis i turn to prayer and spirituality. this must be the curse of modern man but I believe that the two will not be able to exist with the other in the long run.

I was raised a catholic and that explains my reach for the trinity and my custom of turning to christ. but i believe this is a cultural behaviour influenced by my upbringing. in the future as we become more knoledgeable of the universe and things are explained more and more by scientific data we might abandon religion. but if god does exist i want him to know that im sorry for putting this out there and i really do believe in you- so please forgive me. see the delimna here, its fear of the unkown. im gonna be struck down by lightning- must be a catholic thing.
