A coal was placed on the tongue of John the revelator as he was shown images of events yet to unfold, and met with beings so awesome in Glory that he was tempted to worship them even though these were but servants of the Most High.

My freind Heaven is not going to be empty of Black men, the Bible declares a large innumerable host of "all nations and all tongues", will gather before the throne.

I never said that, but they will not be many church going black men. Do you believe we muss go to church to receive the reward?

Not talking about Accepted trying to enlighten you. You are not reading what others are saying, and much of what you have to say is in contradiction to the Word of God. And correction-The bible has been rewritten over 1,500 times yet the substance remains the same. Any new revelation has to be God inspired there has been nothing added since Revelations. Rule of thumb, context rules, i.e. you cannot take a verse out of context of the whole passage and supply your own meaning to it-dangerous business see Revelations 21. Also ask yourself how come this new revelation is made to this fellow or group which has not been made to men holier and more disciplined and devout in their study of the Word. Or how about reading it for yourself and asking God to open your mind to the meaning. I personally wouldn't go along with a group, I would check out all the authorities before coming to a conclusion of whether what they are saying is true or not.

I did not say a revelation was made, but it is possible. You obviously don't believe God would reveal something to someone other than so-called ordained preechers. Some of the ordained ones are the ones we need to check out more than anything.
And until you've seen or heard what has been studied with a group a may have mentioned you shouldn't comment, cah mi neh mek any revelations to dat which was said.

As for your comment bout the bible eing written so many times and staying the same you don't relly believe that do you?

A hypocrite is someone who says one thing and does another. I am not one of those Christian women who goes around saying "Oh I am content in my singleness" while not meaning it. That is being hypocritical. I have been honest.

But we digress. This thread, started by dahjah, is about why Black men aren't in the church. So, let's stay on track and not attack people for no reason okay.

I would like to address this part of your posts as I have focussed my comments on the remainder, I believe this is an honest area for debate.

When God bought Isreal out of Egypt, he tried to grow up these people quickly to the responsibilities of being a Nation. But for four hundred years these people had embraced the slave mentality and the generation of slaves could not rise above this level.

They complained, begged to be back in Egypt when things got rough and as soon as the Leader was absent resorted back to the Egytian slavery lifestyle.

For a while God feed them with manna and they developed a welfare mentality. God fought for them with his angels and the Ark of the covenant, but each time they came upon a superior army they shivvered with fright.

Most of all they all wanted a deliverer, so they set up Moses so that he in his anger and Pride set up himself as some sort of mystical demi god who would strike the rock and water would flow.

When they finally reached the promised land they were afraid to go in because they were squatters on the land, and these squatters looked like Gods to them. Their self esteem was so low that they saw themselves as 'grasshoppers'.

Finally God was to clear the land for them but they were so dishonest with each other and lying that they claimed they did not know what sin was.

So God fleshed out 356 ammendments to the 10 laws he gave Moses to address their daily atrocities to each other. They were to use these ammendments so legalistic as to ascribe to the letter of the law but never the spirit of the Law.

In all this time the transformation from slave to free men in their conscience did not happen. At the first opportunity they complained God was unfair, and ran back to dependency on false God made with their own hands of wood and stone.

Finally God sent the promised messiah, and even though they listened to him their hearts were so set to the blame game that they saw him as not the one to deliver them from the bondage of Rome. Jesus refused to act like moses and call down fire from heaven on the Romans. So they sold him out to the Romans and today they are still looking for a Savior.

Now comes the white man who recognised the motivating Power this christian religion produced in converts. They coopted the christian message wiped out the vestiges of any Jewish origins (well tried to) and painted the Jewish messiah in their image and incultrated a foreign God as their own. And finally ruled the world with it.

WE were taken from Africa as slaves.....

Follow the picture, I am painting here. Are we going to always look for the black messiah or would it be wiser to take up the model that works, personal responsibility, self control, self respect, personal choice for the what is right.

The answer is not in the future it is in the past always have been, from the beginning.

I see the picture your painting from a far but the messiah is not and was never and will never be yt. He had feet of burnishes brass as if burnt in a fire.
He had a message for our ppl.
Here is where part of the trouble lies, Yashua (jesus) did not come to save the world. He came for his ppl and that would be Israel. The Church starting with the catholic has the whole world believing Yashua came for us all when that is far from the truth. This way they can include themselves in hereafter.

If I follow them I will also end up in the pit with them.

Do you realize that after being on here for awhile you can always tell who is in the disguisez? Odda- Listen brother learn to stand up as a man and defend your point without resorting to underhanded tactics(to say the least). Perhaps you should stick with giving massages on BB. Yes. The odd times I had to be dragged a couple of early mornings but for the most part, I went willingly.

Attending Church is in keeping with the Biblical instruction to fellowship together. I am fortunate enough to be in a setting where the Word is being taught and believers are constantly challenged. Because Jesus Christ is at the center of my life, it is a joy for me to fellowship with people of like mind. Church is also the common ground for worship, spiritual renewal, a place where I am challenged, encouraged, strengthened, and where I can refocus on the things that are most important in the event I ever lose sight of what those are.

The Church as a collective body is not without its problems, but frankly I would not trade my relationship with Christ, and the inner peace resulting from same, for anything in this world. Even if I were to wake tomorrow and it was all a myth, I would still rather have the peace of mind, peace of heart, and perspective on life, that I have right now.
