It doesn't seem to have a web site so I don't really have any info to share. This first trip I kind of want to stay at a place where i have an idea what to expect...then check things out while we're there.

I've emailed for info and will share what i get...

Could the place BND is taking about be "Silver Dawn"? (I remmember walking by that sign). Call Eric, if it's not TB.net.

Yes I have also had the experience of shower scrubbing before I will bathe. I've never brought the tilex, but if I did I'd be sure to put it in a ziplock. I usually pick something up at valumaster but in T-Beach that isn't an option!

JD I know you love Billys' Bay and Irie.. which is why I mention the sentimentality.. and your connection.. and I know you are a walker.. which is wonderful.. but the fact is it would take 20 minutes to get anywhere and you would not do that walk at night.. nor would I.. if you enjoy staying put at night or have a driver it doesnt make a difference.. but for me I dont want a driver just to go to dinner...I want to be on my own too.. I also like not eating at the same place over and over. I know lennie has a great cook .. but I like different places.. just me.. I am NOT telling people not to go to Irie Rest.. I am just saying there are other options which works well for me...

Ok so while i upload house photos.. let me give impressions of TB... Quaint.. lovely.. serene.. peaceful.. mornings were getting up having coffee.. walking the beach.. dan kicking the soccer ball , strumming the guitar.. we walked to treasure beach hotel once for breakfast in Frenchmans.. nice place a top of a hill.. best breakfast by far was Translove bakery... could go there each and every day... nice local scene.. few tourists.. the road there at that corner was to die for

spent the day on the beach.. relaxing.. took some side trips with Eric.. one day to AP, Guts River.. the drive I thought was not all that interesting.. to my surprise.. except at the end when it looked like Southern CA with the tall palm trees..

In general the area is spectacular to me.. just not this particular drive. I thought Little Ochi was cute.. a bit too hokey for me.. ok now don't all get mad with me.. just my take.. I am truly an off the beaten path person.. probably what I find of interest does not appeal to the rest either..

A second trip was through Middle quarters and Bamboo ave to YS.. the drive was lovely.. enjoyed myself.. though not at YS.. it again was too sculpted..touristy for me.. and the water was mud.. no one could swim.. but the ride in was great.. and I loved the back roads.. saw the turn off to Accompong and thought of all the stories I read.. next time...

We gave Eric money to buy lobsters and we had it breakfast, lunch and dinner.. both he and his girlfriend cooked..

We rested, watched glorious sunsets..and walked to different places for dinner.. all nice.. local cuisine.. and very wholesome

what I love about Tb are the Trees.. the long winding roads.. the feeling of peace I got there.. it's so nice to feel the space.. no large groupings of tourists.. and buses ... I only wish I had the courage to drive.. because that extra freedom would be great..

I met the night before we left Doan, a very spiritual young man.. in his 20's a rasta, songwriter.. was told Dan should meet him.. so true.. though wish it was on our first night.. sweet nice man..

We also drove by a truck when Eric stopped.. Dan thought to himself that looks like Mutabaruka.. and at the same time Eric said that's Mutaburaka. he showed us his place in Billys bay...

TB is a place I will go back to.. no doubt.. we missed Jimmy cliff on the beach for New Years..TB is a special place.. I think it uncoils with time.. and we had but a few days.. but I enjoyed it..a return is in sight.

A thanks to Jadreamin, Bill. Geo, Maree, Mofire and all else who helped give me tips for this area..

Sorry.. no more blow by blow.. unless I remember a detail..

My day trip with sala will be on its own thread.. the best day ever for me in JA!!

Now you are making me I'll. I want to go back.
As you said, there are things that touch the heart in Treasure Beach.
The vistas, the vegetation , the greenery ,the !NO PEOPLE....!I see why, through your eyes; I see why I was so effected.
