I take my things back to my unit…then I make it to the love shack…Sistacaf…Sassy…and Classy are all here talking and lying around. We reminisce on the trip so far…we laugh…we cry…we sing. Classy is not feeling well at all…but she is too nosey to rest. He voice is a mere whisper…and a croak. They are begging me to stop telling jokes…their stomachs hurt. Marilyn joins us…but she is not really with us. She is sitting in a chair with her feet propped up…smiling.
All of a sudden…Sassy is lying on the bed…and she jumps up with a loud bellowing sound…"WHOMMMMPHFFF!!!"
Classy jumps up runs with her head tucked down…spins around with her fists in a fight position…she yells “Man don’t run up on me!!!” Marilyn and I are stunned…we look at the door…at each other…then at the two nuts. We are thoroughly confused. Classy then settles a little and asked Sassy “What happened?” At this moment…I am crying…I feel like I am going to pass out from laughing so hard. Marilyn chuckles…but doesn’t really grasp the moment at hand because she is in two places at one time.
Sassy explains that a little albino lizard jumped from one wall to the counter in the kitchen. He is now running for his life into the bathroom. Marilyn comes to the rescue…grabs a towel…then the lizard…and frees him outside. We are all laughing. Of course I have to do the reenactment…with an Ochee spin. Waaaaaiiieee mi belly!Comment

If u would have seen the LOOK on Sassy's face, all I could think was what I learned growin up - stay ready. She screamed like Michael Meyers (or better yet, Primary Color) came in the room with a damn weapon [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]
But I had been jokin with her about them jumpin from wall to wall and it finally happened...I won't joke anymore

the part that was so funny...was that you ran toward a locked burglar door...that went to an enclosed verandah. If there was a maniac or Primary Color with a weapon...what were those little fists going to do? waaaaaaaiiii!!!Comment

I wasn't tryna run out of the room I was tryna situate my back toward a wall so that I could not get attacked from behind...when ppl scream like that it only means one thing in my mind (well maybe two [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] ) but since THAT was not goin on I figured that we were in danger. Tonight is the night I have been waiting 2 years for...Amnesia! I take my outfit to the girls' unit because I don't want to get dressed by myself...I'm nosey too. I don't want to miss a thing. My plan is to wear a basic black dress and heels. Now I'm confident...and I feel that I held my own with all these beautiful women with me...but I'm a big girl...and not at all happy about my size. This is the heaviest I have ever been in my life...so I started feeling skeptical of my dress. I didn't want to be the big girl no one warned about wearing that outfit. So I change my mind...and I run downstairs to get another outfit. This skirt set provided a little more coverage on my rump...the black dress was short...but nothing was showing. Classy and Sassy like both...but say the second outfit has more color...is more funky.
Marilyn appears to be sleeping...but she was very aware of everything going on. She gives a little snort...then opens one eye...said "You will wear the black dress...no room for discussion."...and closes the eye back. No smile...no nod of encouragement. Just a simple directive.
Classy is going through the same thing...she really wants to dance tonight and feels that her denim mini may be too short. She decides to wear a camoflauge skirt and black shirt instead. Marilyn said under her breath "Goodness...what would my girls do without me?" "Baby, you will wear the denim mini...period."
Classy and I have been presuading Sassy to go be more daring...more sexy...then here we are trying to play the modest card. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] So, Sassy sitting there waiting on her makeup...she is stunning in khaki shorts and matching halter...her legs are never ending...even though she is short. o/ The thing is that she refuses to give up her rainbow coalition flip flops. These flip flops have seen more Jamaican soil than Christopher Columbus.
Classy gives her a pair of strappy sandals with a sexy heel. She puts them on until she thinks we are no longer concerned about it...then slips them off for her flip flops.
Classy puts the sexy shoes on...and Sassy thinks she is off the hook. Classy said I saw you when you took them off...and that's okay because here is another pair. Sassy starts to fuss...then slips her foot in...and realizes that sexy can be comfortable too. The brown leather wedges look perfect.
Remember with all this commotion...Marilyn is still laying in the bed. Just as Classy finishes our makeup...Marilyn gets up...goes to her shower...and still beats us getting dressed...make up and all. She is awesome in a black halter jumpsuit.Comment

Sistacaf comes up...she is wearing a black mini as well. To say we all complimented each perfectly is an understatement. We jokingly called Marilyn our madam...and said that she had trained us well.
We finish dressing...and Mr. Classy calls to say that he has arranged our taxi for the evening...and it will be there in 10 minutes...how did he know we were ready??? your guess is as good as mine. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] We go out to wait on the taxi...we hear it come halfway up the hill...then it stops and goes back down the hill.
Marilyn goes to call Mr. Classy...he immediately calls another taxi. This one comes up...but there is a girl in the front and she is not too happy to see all of us women. We wave him off because there is just not enough room for all of us. The third taxi is dispatched...and comes pretty quickly. We tell the driver to make a quick stop so Mr. Classy can see how classy Classy is tonight. This idiot decides to "c* BLOCK" because he wants her for himself. Well this pisses Mr. and Mrs. Classy off to the highest.
She gets back into the car...and we are on our way. Ahhh...the staircase of Amnesia...lined with men...men staring...men chatting...men calling out...men waiting to be searched. We enter the club...and immediately I notice the changes. There is an expansion...good...good. Hold on wait a minute...why is everyone holding up the wall? We arrived at about 12:30 AM or so...so the party should have been pretty hype or getting there. It has never mattered in the past what time you get to Amnesia...the party is always in full swing.
Classy and I LOVE to dance...but the vibes have to be there...it's hard to explain though. We got to the dance floor...and decide to take a seat. A man comes up to me and asks to dance. He said that he wanted to dance with me all week since seeing me at the beach party [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] I oblige...he wraps his sweaty forearms around my waist...why? Did he think I need help standing up? This nut is sweating because he is standing there in a sweatshirt and skull cap. Let me assure you there was NEVER a day when this attire would be required. I'm trying to figure out how to wear the bare minimum and he looks like he just left New York. I tell him that I really don't feel like dancing right now...thank him...and return to my seat. Another guy just as quickly takes his place. I decline...but he stands in front of me...looks at the dance floor...turns back to me...stares...then turns back toward the dance floor. Classy and I move a little...then we all decide to try the patio.Comment

Sistacaf and Sassy are snatched immediately after entering the doors of the patio...The men are staring at Classy...mouth opened...too intimidated to approach. We decide to go to the bar for some S. Ice...the breeze is welcoming...and pretty brisk. My skirt tries to do the "Marilyn Monroe over the grate" thingy...I catch it just in time. I think to myself...I KNOW that I won't be shaking a tailfeather tonight. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
A guy finally approaches Classy very timidly...he soon realizes that she is just as nice as she is stunning. They dance...I don't think he was her idea of a dance partner...because she soon tires of him. There is nothing like having a dance partner that can't move...ugghh!
I have a few dance partners...but I'm just too self catious of this tiny skirt blowing in the wind. I decide to sit for a while. The girls from Margaritaville show up. They try to cheer me up...and say that they don't like seeing me this way. I am watching my girls party...enjoying seeing the men react to their techniques...the other women are watching too. Almost like they are amazed that non-Jamaicans can actually do the Jamaican dances. This unwanted attention slightly bothers Classy. The vibe is too America for us I think. In America...everyone stands around and watches the people dancing. The women are talking about the other women that are dancing....the men are too cool to care. I don't like to see this aspect at Amnesia.
Marilyn is having a ball...she has found a dance partner that works for her. She lets loose...she is freer than I have seen her all week. Almost like she realized that we love Ochi in all its glory...and she doesn't have to try and explain its magic anymore.
She eventually decides to take a breather...takes one look at me...and said "Come with me. I know that you have not been able to get your alone time with Ochi...the ocean and the beach...it's still calling you."
We walk out of Amnesia...to the best jerk chicken stand in all of the world. She did not lie...this man's chicken melts in your mouth. We sit and chat with the guys around the jerk grill...and this lifts my spirits magically. No there was no flirting or compliments at this particular moment...just friendly conversation.Comment
