We load all my stuff into the van...hop in and off we go to Shaw Park Gardens. We make our way up the mountainside...oohing and ahhing. We stop at a huge Banyan tree to take pictures. I was the first to swing on the bamboo swing...weeeeeeeee. I try to take a picture of Classy on the swing...and I only manage to snap a picture of her bottom [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] she laughs and said that is why her mother told her not to swing in a dress...kikiki. We pose around the tree...and the next thing I know...Lady Z is waaaaaayyyy up in the tree. How did she get up there...and so quietly too. the guys demonstrate how you can swing from the tendrils on the tree like Tarzan. Marilyn just knows that she can do it. The guide tells her that she has to pass the test first...which was holding herself up with her own arm strength. She failed miserably three times....kikiki

She challenges us to try it...I knew that I couldn't do it. The tendril just stretched all the way to the ground with my weight...of course Lady Z was the only one that could meet the challenge. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

We tip our Banyan Tree guide...and we on our way to Shaw Park Gardens. I truly wanted the ladies to see Murphy's Hill...however...many drivers do not like to take the road to Murphy's Hill...and Marshall was no exception. I can understand with his immaculate van.

Marshall stops the van and tells us to look for something extraordinary in the bushes to our left. He tells us that if we look carefully we will see it...no further clues...just told us what we were looking for was on the left. You should have seen all us peering in the bush intently...heads stuck out...eyes focused...butts tooted up in the air... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] we are all trying to be the first one to find the something.

Marshall then tells us if we can't find it on the left we should look to the right. Of course, our heads whip around at the same time to the most amazing view of Ochi. It was the clearest that I have ever seen it. We all let out a collective sigh...and told Marshall that we were going to hurt him for doing that too us. In hindsight, I wouldn't have taken that first view in two years any other way.

We pull up to the entrance of Shaw Park and decide against paying the $10 entrance fee. We tell Marshall that we ae hungry...and that we want some more ultimate patties. Off we go for Mother's...the girls are definitely addicted.

We know that our tour is over...and we go back to sulking almost instantly. Marshall senses this...and tells us that he normally does not do this...but he knows that we are not ready to head back to the hotel. He tells us that our next stop will be the place where he gets his van washed. We are greedy...we want all this man has to offer if it will delay the thought process from recalling departure day. We smile...dance to the music like little kids going to the circus or an amusement park.

When we pull up to the car wash...we see nothing but men...men and more men. They are washing cars...polishing cars...playing dominoes...standing around talking to their buddies...playing basketball...and playing soccer. We are ravenous for our patties...so we park it by the dominoes players. They tell us not to be afraid and to join them at their table. Their table is already full...and we stay put. We are discussing how lucky we are to have found Marshall today while watching the basketball game. It appears that the men are not used to foreign women watching their game...as their game gets a little shabby. They make a shot...then look to see if we are still watching. They attempt to D up...and look back to see if we are watching. Funny...but not at all like a basketball court in the States.

The guys playing soccer were a different matter. It was all about the game...forget the women...forget the cow and bull in the field mating...nothing but the game. We watch the soccer game for a little while...then we move toward the interior of the basketball court. We want to have a seat and watch the little boys play. They are absolutely adorable.

One little boy...possibly 6 at the most...spots Lady Z. He saunters (yes saunters) over...all the while keeping a watchful eye on her and his jewelry...looks at her and with all the rude bwoy he could muster...said "Eeeeehhh!!???" He gets embarrassed because we all burst out in laughter...and he gives her one final come hither eye...and runs off. He is grabbing at his shorts...and making sure his pinky ring doesn't come off his finger.

It has now become his personal mission to wow her with his dribbling skills....dang that darn pinky ring. If it wasn't for that ring...he would have pulled some Harlem Globetrotter moves for her.

As we are leaving the courts...the men make a comment to each other that we didn't watch the ball...because we were watching the men...the pickney...and the cows dem. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] So the tourist women did not sneak in unnoticed.

Marshall drives us back to the hotel...and we get caught up in our conversations for a while before the sadness returns. Sassy shows up...and we tell her about the day she missed. It turns out that she was at the same car wash field...only she didn't see us because she was laying down in a van...with a BUNCH of men... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

We made plans to go out tonight...it was supposed to be me...Marilyn...Lady Z...Love4Jamaica and her aunt. Classy and Sassy had other plans. I told Marilyn that I was beat...in all honesty...I was sulking...I was angry and hurt to be leaving tomorrow. I began to feel horrible for backing out on Marilyn at the last minute...so I told her that I was going to my unit to get dressed. In the process of me getting dressed, she calls to tell me that the other ladies have canceled. We will not be going out tonight... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I get undressed and sit down to watch tv...Mr. O was out on the town...the kids were with the family. I fall asleep watching tv.

Once again I complained about being hungry and I don't even know how we decided to go back to Wagon Wheel. But we all packed in the van and went (remember I asked for a large and supposedly he ran out of large containers [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] ), then we headed right back to the hotel.
