Wow did that time past as fast for you as it did for us?? It seems like you just said goodbye!!! Yes I will be in Ochi for a few days in July. But I think we miss each other. I return to the states July 20.

I’m glad you had a good time at the Coral Cliff and sounds like they have a game room. Slot machines still there??? Now were the people dancing???? I still can’t get over all that good music and no slow whine!!! The drinks are very reasonable there. I can’t wait to see it again. I spend my last night in MoBay.

Oh poor baby. Yes it is sooo depressing when you return sit and reflect on where you were a mere 24 hours ago. It makes it so hard to focus cus you mind is still in Jamaica. But July soon come and the fun will begin all over again!

lol I still replay that night over and over. It all happened and ended too soon.

Now about that picture of me…I’m still searching, but they all look horrible. I only have a few of me because I was always on the back end of the camera. Hang in there Dr. Bones…I’ll come up with something.

I noticed a guard sitting to the side of the brick wall. I guess he was wondering why I was just standing there with this blank look on my face. He approached me and greeted me with a friendly hello. He asked if I needed assistance in finding what I was searching for. Oh how smooth the men here are. You just had to be there to hear how he said it. I asked him what went on back here at night. He said a lot of music, dancing and partying.
“But, I think you would feel more comfortable in a different place. “
“Oh really? Where??” I was very curious.
“At the ____. (darn! Can’t remember the name) It’s a club in Montego Bay. A lot of local people go there.”
“So this place is nice??? Good reggae and a lot of dancing??”
“Yeah mon..local place.”
“I never heard of that club and I have no idea on how to get there.”
“Well, see, I could take you.”
“I don’t even know your name.”
“My name is Leroy.” Pointing to his nametag, which I did see before we started speaking.
Leroy is small built about 125 pounds, 58, 59, not bad looking. He is soooo sweet and definitely interested in fluffy body gyals because he also offered to take me someplace to eat.
“Well Leroy, I leave on Friday and I have a lot planned for my remaining time here. I don’t think I could make the time to go out with you.”
“What is your name?”
“Vi”
“Look, Vi, you don’t have to worry about anything. Respect me ah show you. Respect fe true”
“I believe you Leroy, I don’t have the time.”
“You so beautiful Vi, I would show you a good time. You don’t have to worry about nuttin.”
“I’m not making this up Leroy, I leave the day after tomorrow. Tonight my friend is picking me up so that I can hang with her and her girls. Tomorrow is also full. I’m sorry; I guess I met you too late.”
“No mon, not too late because I gonna look fe you tomorrow and stop you again.”
“You know Leroy, you are so sweet. May I take your picture?”
He was a bit cautious at first, but then struck a pose and I snapped.

I thanked him and told him I have to get back. He asked where I was staying and I told him the Glorianna. He said it is a nice place and he knew some of the employees there.

We chatted for a few minutes more. He stood extremely close while we talked. He was so close I swear he could see my thoughts. I soon had to say good-bye because the sun was baking my brain.

Vi - I just saw your message back to me ... Mine is a long and complicated story ... I will 'PM' you the story that leads up to my lovely romance first. You must get 'jist of it thru that story'. I also see you have posted more of your story ... can not wait to go back and read it.

Yes, it was quick "sneak" away for the weekend. I couldn't wait until July. I usually take many short trips throughout the year because of my job and childcare.

The game rooms in Coral Cliff are on the first floor. Yes, the band and slot machines are still upstairs. And no one still danced or no slow whine. The music was so good. We went across the street for a few minutes.

Upon arriving back to hotel, there was a small group of guys standing around talking. MY..MY..My! Can they get any finer???? I recognized two, the other two bid me a friendly hello. I am not ready to leave this place!

I went back to my room, sat on the bed, grabbed the phone and frantically started making calls to Air Jamaica Airlines to extend my stay until Monday, August 19. My desire, I mean MY NEED, to stay in Jamaica was vital. I was not mentally, emotionally or physically ready to leave and return to the US. I can’t leave because I am feeling so at home here almost like this is where I belong. I want to stay because I love, with a passion, the beautiful land called Jamaica.

I called Agee and told her I wanted to stay and she said she would tap into her resources to see what she could find. Oh how I appreciated her enthusiasm and desire for me to stay. But nothing could match or come close to my needing to be here…nothing. I was about to call another airline when the phone rings.

“Hello Vi, it is Wills.”
“Oh hi Wills.”
“How are you taday baby? Everyting is well?”
“Yes.”
“What are you doing??? You busy??”
“I’m making calls trying to extend my stay Wills. I don’t want to leave.”
“I don’t want you to leave Vi. I hope you can stay.”
“I’ve been making phone calls and so has Agee. It doesn’t look good because Air Jamaica is booked solid for the next 15 days.”
“Den stay 15 days. We can spend time together.”
“Wills that sounds tempting, but I can only stay until Monday.”
“I called earlier but you not in the room.”
“I’m sorry I missed your call. I went out to get something to eat.”
“If you stay longer, I want to cook fe you.”
“Oh really??? I would like that very much. “

After about 10 more minutes of good conversation, he told me he had to go, but he was going to call me tomorrow at the same time. I told him he couldn’t because I was leaving the Glorianna to stay with my friend Agee. I told him that I had to respect her home and not give out her number. He understood. I said I would call him instead.

In my heart and soul, he is truly an exceptional man. He’s kind, patient, caring, and courteous. Yes…he would make a good friend, nothing more.

As soon as I hung up from speaking to Wills, the phone rang again. It was Agee. She told me that Air Jamaica is booked solid for the next 3 weeks. I wanted to cry. The only seat available is in first class. The cost is $525US – one way! She said to rebook a round trip ticket would cost $416US. I couldn’t afford it. I was prepared to spend $200US to change my ticket, I couldn’t afford anything more. She said that she is leaving at 5:30 and she would come by to pick me up around 7:00. I told her I would be ready.

I made a few more phone calls…no success. This was killing me.

I decided to shower and lay down for a quick nap before Agee comes. My body was grateful for the brief rest. This is a luxury because I never get the chance to take an afternoon nap at home. Just too darn busy.

I was up and ready to go. I still had about 20 minutes before Agee arrives so I walked out to the front to see who was hanging out. The usual guard and the driver were there. I decided to walk down to see the stores that were adjacent to the Glorianna. All I remember was the cambio and a little grocery store.

As I walked back to the hotel, I notice another individual had joined the group. He turns to greet me with a very enthusiastic and friendly hello. His name is DeLeroy. Tall, about 6 foot, 150 pounds and CUTE! Fantastic smile. I had a few minutes to kill so I continued chatting with him.

“How long will you be vacationing in Jamaica?”
“I leave on Friday.”
“When did you arrive?”
“I’ve been here since the 6th.”
“Here?? At the Glorianna?”
“No, I checked-in here on Tuesday.”
“Do you have plans for this evening?”
“Yes, I’m waiting for a friend to pick me up. I don’t expect to be out that late.”
“I work here, part-time as security. I also work at Margaritaville. I want to invite you to Margaritaville as my guest.”
“As your guest?”
“Yeah mon. You get in free with 2 free drinks. So, will you come? The driver can bring you, no charge.”
“Thanks for the invite, but honestly that place is not for me. The crowd is too young.”
Now I can see the other guys are focused on us. All this attention…I LOVE IT! I don’t know what to do with it…but mi love it much!
“Please, I want you to come Vi.”
He takes a couple of steps closer to me and takes a hold of my right wrist. Oh No He Didn’t!! Wow, his touch sent an unexpected rush through my body. (Calm down girl…calm down!)
“Come spend some time with me, you will enjoy yourself.”
Now all eyes were on me.
“I think you should spend the time with someone closer to your own age. What are you, 21?”
“I’m 23.”
“Like I said, thanks for the invite, but no thanks.”
He just smiled and leaned down to kiss my cheek. SMOOTH, SMOOTH and more SMOOTH! Now if he’s this good now, I can only imagine how he will be in 10 years. Whooowweeee!
“Tink about it Vi. Mi hope you change your mind.” Nope…definitely won’t change my mind.

Just then I heard a beep. It was Agee. I told DeLory that I had to leave. He grabbed one of the Glorianna cards and wrote his cell number on it.
“Give me a call and I’ll have a driver come and pick you up.”
I thanked him and tucked the card in my purse. I think this 23 year old actually made me blush. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70361-embarassed.gif[/img]

I got in the car and we are on our way to Breezes. I was introduced to everyone and felt very comfortable. They even joked about DeLeroy and how he was trying to “mack” me (for a lack of a better word).

I can relate to trying to change the ticket and extend your stay. Seems Air Jamaica is always booked though. Then we go to the airport and pray to get bumped [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]ray:

I was cracking up when you said he was standin so close he could read your thoughts. Plus the sun was so hot that it was baking your brain. What kind of thoughts was he reading then [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

The game room at Coral Cliffs is downstairs. It has lots of games and is decorated in a lodge motif complete w/ snow covered mountains and snow skis. Never thought I would see snow in Ja.

Just for a few dances. It was Sunday night so it wasn't crowded. My co-workers who traveled with me had a ball in margaritaville so we left them there.

I love the way everyone has STOPPED calling this a trip report and have for a long time been referring to it as a BOOK! Love it.
Since I couldn't PM you... I just wanted to say thank you for the MoBAY pics. It is very nostalgic for me. Especially the Sunset pics...you know why. I was so overwhelmed with family and wedding stuff...those special pics weren't taken. TONKS [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

girl it WAS funny, after the fact. Lawd the man wanted to kill me! Plus it was HOT out there and he was sweatin like a champ. Poor thing...still I hope I neva lay eyes on him again.
