THanks ReggaeVerallo for the kind words, I needed them today.

PastlifeJamaican, Marilyn completed her trip report last week and on Westside Wondering, Ms Mika posted much of her report. We all were on the tour together and experience everything mostly together. Yes, we all did experience them differently, but together. So I decided not to finish posting here so as not to be redundant.

I did continue to be myself for most of my journey with slips in and out of those other parts of me from time to time. I changed my mind constantly on this trip and did endulge myself quite a bit. Marilyn actually got mad at me for changing my mind so often and threw a silent temper tamtrum. But, this was my goal, to enjoy everything my way...and I did. She understood after reminding her what I had promised from the beginning...and that was that I was going to do what I wanted and needed before and after the GFT. Happilly, what I wanted conincided with what she wanted for the most part. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

WHAT DID I LEARN:

Jamaican laid at my feet what I needed to learn about myself on this trip, both good and bad. It taught me that I must always strive to have a balanced life. Rest, work, play, serve, learn, teach, give,receive stop, go, listen, cry, and understand. Balance is the key to my ability to savor life I now know. Balance has never required me to do anything better or faster than anyone else, I required this. It only required me to make a conscious effort to enjoy what I am doing, and that I learn to be present in every aspect of life, for some portion of each day that I am alive.

Life has still many avenues I must travel, and I owe it myself to spend a little time on each and every avenue [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Here is what mi learned this trip....
1. I ain't nobodies' mama.
2. We can't be friends, cause I'm still in love with you (speaking of a man, let's get that clear)
3. Never try to set a friend up on the Seven Mile beach.....it is murderous on your reputation.
4. Everything that looks good.....ain't good for ya.
5. In the end good friends are more precious than gold.
6. All that glitters is not gold

You can lay on the beach all day and not take one tour and everything is going to be okay. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

You can go to bed early a few nights.

The lobster on the beach ain't going make you sick (I must have eaten 2 a day for 7 days).

The men on the beach might make you sick.

You can have just as much fun talking with your girlfriends. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Set up your own bar in your room.

Creeping through the shadows at night can be very interesting.

Of the items on your list, I most agree with these three, especially the last one. That gave me a good laugh [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] . Nice to know I'm not the only one [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] .

It isn't?? I was scared to try it!!! didn't know where it came from or where it been and for how long?


When ya birthday again? I am trying to get down there for either the Accompong Festival with some time on the beach as well, or for Rebel Salute mid januaryish.

Oh, there was one lesson that I learned that completely surprised me. It is a lesson that we hope is true and many have said that it is, but it is rarely proven, but atlas, I proved it to be so for me.

"If you want it bad enough, you can have it". It may take a year, two years, three years or even as little as a month, but it can be had by you. Just be sure that when you get it, it was well worth the effort. Because, it takes 100% dedication in thought, mind, body and spirit, and when you give this much, the door will open and you can choose to open your hand and receive it.

Seveen, yes I did go to bed early a couple of nights and I was actually concerned that I was missing something or somehow it was wrong of me to do this. After the second early night, I felt more comfortable about doing it, but I never quite was able to get rid of the thought that I should be up and running around.
