Thank you all so much. I don't even know what to say. All I did was tell it like it was. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I also had selfish reasons for writing this report. I got to extend my trip until yesterday and now I really am back in the States. I just have to remember the lessons that I learned on this trip and act upon them. When I first came to this site I devoured trip reports. I wondered if I had the nerve to expose myself in this way, but it was healing. You all-made it so easy by being encouraging so-THANKS. Again thanks for joining me on my journey.

what an awesome report! love the pics, and you write so well.
You know it is funny when I get home i really feeli do not belong here, that for some reason despite teh crime adn bad happenings in JA, i feel that is where i belong, one day I will make it my home, and when I do I know I will have no regrets!

You know Sugah Pie...you said it so lovely and it also struck a cord with me when you said you wanted to make changes in your life when you returned to the states. Every trip I take to Jamaica...I come back and make a change...and it's always for the better.

Ohhhhh. Let me tell you I talked to my friend T tonight. He's in Ochi and is OK. He said that there was damage to people's houses and the banks aren't open so he can't make repairs to his house yet. I wanted ya'll to see how cute this sweetie pie is. Here he is fixing me breakfast.

Sugar, I love your writing style and the way you handle yourself. Respect. Just emailed a friend to tell her that we have to go to Ochi just to have breakfast at the beach, but she'd have to leave her husband behind - JA women-only thing.

Milo Man, your comments re the women, tourists and non-tourists reminded me of the times I've travelled with my brothers and they've had to fend off the 'economic types' and carefully screen the others, but they've had some good conversations and made some good friends.

The fact that my 'boys' had me with them didn't deter some of the women and I sometimes pretended that one of them was my man, and we'd laugh about it later when we remembered the reaction to my carrying on bad [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] Some good memories!

Bravo mon, excellent report!! I second the emotion that you "got it" when it comes to JA. I have been hooked on Negril, but with some of the recent Ochi reports I have decided that Ochi will get graced by my presence next year as well. I truly hope I can enjoy Ochi as much as Negril, but with folks like you, Lady M and Vi giving my imagination so much free reign to invision it I am ever so ready and eager to see.

Here's hoping that you can cut all the coupons you can between now and next year so you can return to JA and stay just a wee bit longer. Each year I have added three extra days to my trip. I will be up to ten days next year.

SS: Been out of town for a few days and couldn't wait to get back to your trip report. It took me right back to Ochie and the craft market and the people, especially the men (love their ways). Sounds like you had a wonderful trip, Sugar. I can relate to bawling like a baby when you leave. At least you held it in until you were back in the states, I usually wake up crying the day I leave, and carry on throughout the day. Truly pathetic.

One thing I did notice is that you seemed to be w/ a lot of different men on this one trip, yet no one seems to have commented on that at all. Some people will post a trip report and people will jump all over them insulting them about their involvement w/ someone in Ja, yet you were w/ several men and no one says a word. I wonder why that discrepancy exists. I remember someone posting a pic of his gf in a provacative outfit and everyone ran him for being so disrespectful. However, you post a pic of a shirtless man in his underwear, and the response is "you go girl?" Doesn't seem consistent at all.
