Seveen I remember your last stay in TB was not as positive as I know you had hoped. Thank goodness there are lots of different types and styles of accomodations to choose from, since there are different types and styles of people. With that said I know you would really really enjoy Jakes, cuz I know you love your food... That pool is lovely...but they must spend a lot of time cleaning it with the tree peering over it. I see how they build around the landscape and not vice versa.

Just wanted to throw in the view from our breakfast table at Jake's.

I totally understand why you like it Sweetlips....it's not hte cheapest place but there is somehting to be said for feeling at home, and welcome, and having internet, and those views...and the whole "compound" if you will, is open yet feels like a little community. Nice pool, nice beach, nice bar, good food. I'd stay there next time in TB for sure.

It can be on the way. I did the Roaring River visit while on one of my TB visits and it was doable, also combined it with horseback riding at Paradise so I know it's not that far. But as for distance and time exactly I'm not sure, someone else is always driving.

Ohliz, I know it's been kind of a hard sell with your husband in the past, hope he changes his mind next trip. You picture is awesome, the water was higher then, I can't believe how low it is right now in front of Jakes.

i don't care what folks say either i always enjoy Jakes -- love that big coffee urn in the morning -- i left some really good collie last time i was there in up-down-cottage -- wonder if anyone ever found it -- if they did they be thanking me for those stalks.

I found a map on the first site that you posted. IT visually gives the distance away from the main area where the pool is.

Sweetlip seams close in, is there noise from the bar?
IT looks like a lot of people would be in the water in front of Sweetlip? This is a good map of the grounds.

Sweetlip is kind of hidden a little by the outside shower, and a special seating area between the pool and SweetLip, I felt very private on the veranda. I liked it because it was easy access to the pool without having it right next to the building. The other side is next to Joshua's Massage hut, then Mussels is next to Sweetlip, we'll be neighbors....so we'll have to have a party one night, I'll bring the Champagne!

As for the bar, Dougies bar is not usally a noisy place and it doesn't stay open til all hours usally 11PM/Midnight at the very latest (you know, around the time you get up from your nap and are ready to go out and party [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ) The noisy bar is Jack Sprat and you won't hear the noise from there.

I've been going to tell you, I went by Mar Blue and looked around and mentioned you and that you loved the place so much, the lady remembered you. Mar Blue was very nice, lovely pool. I like the design with the private verandas.
