The Astra Country Inn is in Mandeville. To get to it, it looks like you are going through a nice neighborhood, then all of a sudden you're there. We went here so I could meet my new found internet friend, Jamaica Passion, aka Mark. It was just lovely inside and seemed so quiet. I want to return to Mandeville and just wander around town. It had a different flair to it.
Can't really describe it but, more like a laid back country type, but still higher ended pieces of property and lovely homes.
I love this picture of Dickey. It's like he's contemplating the beauty of Jamaica. On the veranda at Silver Seas, Ocho Rios.
I just want to prove to you that he had a bathing suit on.

I briefly touched on July 13 when I met with some friends at the Brewery in Mobay. Here as some pics of this group of peeps that are from annuder board on di net. From left is Pooky from England. He has a fiance in Kingston and will be returning to Jamaica in a few months to get married and live again. He is one fine person. To his right is JM, no comment! I still was feeling the change in temperature and humidity. Forget any hairdo. I could ring out my hair at times on this trip. Really suffered before my braids. Next to me is Tia, dear sweet, beautiful Tia. She looked so composed that day, like the heat doesn't bother her. Me jealous. She has a foster son and is so proud of him. And last but not least is KC, who I also met on my trip in April. He has a computer business in Mobay and JM is going to keep in touch with this man. He promises to get me started up when I move there and also he lives in Bogue Village, so we ago be neighbas!! KC is a real joker and kept us all laughing that afternoon. We are toasting another member of the board, who asked us to do that. OH OH! Pooky tinkin abou dat darn plane he ago hafta ketch in a couple a hours an jus like alla we, he no wanna go.
Pooky saying: Hey mi jus got snockered cuz mi hafta leave mi gyal an Ja in jus a couple hours.
Tia's skin is so flawless. She said she got a nice tan the last few days before our meet. She likes to stay on the strip when in Ja and was at Doctor's Cave Hotel. Aren't these two photogenic? And to top it off they're mighty fine nice people.
We were giving KC a bad time about his purple shirt and tie. He turns the tie over and shows us that he's keeping the tags on it in case he wants to bring it back. We ask if he's doing the same thing with his underwear. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

Well now it very innocent di way he gi his name. His mama thought he an ugly baby, so she nickname him Dickey afta Dick Tracy. Now mi tink Dick Tracy a fine lookin man. Course so is Dickey. Dickey like his nickname cuz it gi di convo goin an asides he sey he turn into a nice lookin boy shortly afta he born. He also like it cuz his mama gi it to him. An Marilyn mi no wha yu tink it mean. Hush!!! :love:

Here a pic a JM stopped at di Gold Teeth Jerk Center between Ochie an Mobay. On annuder board dey sey no like gold teet in enyone's mout, so mi sey, yu ago cum an pull mi teet out? Dey uno no dat mi gold teet in di back. So mi tek di pic an tell dem mi start mi own jerk center jus fi dem. JM a tease an like fi rile up di yout dat have no tolerance fi odder peeps.
Mentioned before this nice young man that Jamlove and I befriended at Silver Seas. He went to Evita's with us one night. Miguel is from New York and is Dominican. Had a likkle trouble at Evitas. Dickey had a sleeveless shirt on and the guard wouldn't let him in, but let Miguel pass. Dickey sey, " Are di rules jus for locals?" an di guard no ansa. Enyway, Dickey have annuder shirt in di cyar he put on. Pic a JM an Miguel:
Back to Emancipation Park and the plumeria. I never tired of taking pics of di flora in Jamaica. And Magic, mi tek pics a di whole park. not jus di statue mon. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Yes it rains in Jamaica an it a blessin from Jah:

Near Lucea. The rain came down in buckets, but stopped in awhile, the sun came out, and Jamaica was beautiful for all that.
This is a slightly different pic of the view from the veranda at Silver Seas, Ochie. I love it when you take a pic there and the branches and fronds drape down into the pic.

About that shirt ting at Evita's. I ran into the same mess at Amnesia. I had to go buy Curry a shirt on night on the street to go in with me, but on another night there I was tormented by this buy who had on a sleevelss tank top. Somehow I felt he had "connections" because even when security got involved, they didn't do much about him.

Mi rememba yu fi shure!! Yu have such a sweet smile how cyan enyone figet it? Wanted fi aks yu wha gwaan, but den knew it not mi biznez. An chilled alright, at mi favorite beach spot. This reminds me of the first time I saw Jamaica and set foot on Paradise. Only mine was in Mobay. This is near Ochie at my room in Silver Seas, early in the morning, with zoom lens.
