Re: SouthCoast - Benji's Paradise/Roaring River
Please, please post more pics and/or info if available. My wife is hesitant about going to Benji's on our trip in Sept. and I really think she would love it if I could just get her to go. For example is it a tough hike to the river, more info about the food, etc. Maybe with enough great input from everyone who's been there she'll be swayed.

Re: SouthCoast - Benji's Paradise/Roaring River
Well, Benji's Paradise is about an hour (maybe less) out of Negril. It is a natural place and I hope it stays that way! Benji is taking very good care of his place and keeping things low key. Vibe is peaceful and relaxing. Food is ital (natural) whatever is ripe is what you get. We had white rice with a variety of steamed fresh vegetables, followed by dominos on Benji's verandah, and fresh picked pineapple and jelly coconuts served at the pool. It's about a 30 second walk down a hill to the pools. I believe their website is up and running for more info.

Re: SouthCoast - Benji's Paradise/Roaring River
Thanks QK, Sassy and JAStar (& Loops for getting me started!) I thought that rather than a big fancy graduation party (which is not my thing!) I would take my daughter on a trip to my favorite place on earth where hopefully she would "get it." She didn't get the food, but she does want to go back ASAP so we'll keep working on the food part.

What an excellent idea for a Graduation Gift .... As Vi once surfaced .... all of the sudden, one day - in some small way - our children let us know they 'get it' ...
Sonny is only 13 - and it is seeping out now and again.

Re: SouthCoast - Benji's Paradise/Roaring River
No, that's her "odda modda", my friend brought her two fourteen year olds down as well and we shared security duty on the bunch of 'em....along with all of our extra "aunties": queenb, judy, Marilyn, Angie of Coconuts, and not to mention the Knights in Shining Armour Corps that was stationed all up and down Negril Beach. If one of our girls even LOOKED like they might need assistance, they were swarmed by gentlemen willing to come to their aid. We even had security checkpoints - queen to odda modda "Shaquilla is going for a walk with Winston." Odda modda "OK, I expect them to pass checkpoint Risky within five minutes." Roger that....
